1. Product Overview
Boiler steel plate, also known as special steel plate for boilers and pressure vessels, is a special pressure-bearing steel exclusively used for manufacturing steam boiler drums, headers, heat exchangers, waste heat boilers, pressure-bearing cylinders of thermal pipelines and heating pressure vessels. Produced in strict accordance with production specifications for pressure equipment steel, it adapts to long-term continuous operation under medium-high temperature and high pressure conditions. It integrates multiple superior performances including high purity, stable high-temperature strength, creep resistance, excellent hot & cold weldability, qualified impact toughness at high and low temperatures, and fatigue pressure resistance. It is widely used in thermal power, heating supply, chemical thermal engineering, biomass boilers, waste heat recovery equipment and other industries.
2. Core Advantages
Extremely low harmful impurities: Strict control of sulfur and phosphorus elements, uniform and dense internal structure, avoiding cracks and delamination defects after long-term high-temperature operation.
Stable high-temperature mechanical properties: Slight attenuation of tensile and yield strength under medium-high temperature, resisting creep deformation without bulging or deforming under long-term high pressure.
Strong welding adaptability: Low carbon equivalent, hard to generate cold and hot cracks during welding of thick plates and cylinder circumferential seams, no complicated post-weld heat treatment required.
Reliable toughness in wide temperature range: All impact indicators at normal, medium and low temperatures reach standards, no brittle fracture caused by sudden temperature changes during boiler startup and shutdown.
Full-plate non-destructive flaw detection: All finished plates pass ultrasonic testing without slag inclusion, blowholes or interlayers, meeting mandatory supervision inspection requirements for special equipment.
Complete and compliant qualifications: Conform to domestic special equipment standards and European & American export standards, full set of original mill certificates available for third-party supervision inspection.

4. Material Grades & Applicable Working Conditions
(1) Carbon boiler plates for normal & medium temperature (≤350℃, atmospheric & medium pressure boilers)
Q245R: Low-pressure hot water boilers, small heating drums, atmospheric heat exchange equipment, low pressure load with high cost performance.
Q345R: Mainstream grade in the market, for industrial steam boilers, waste heat boilers, thermal storage tanks and heat exchanger cylinders, applicable temperature range: -20℃ ~ 350℃.
(2) Medium-high temperature heat-resistant alloy boiler plates (350℃ ~ 580℃ high temperature & high pressure boilers)
15CrMoR: High-temperature drums, heat exchangers and auxiliary pressure-bearing parts of power plants within 500℃, resistant to high-temperature oxidation.
12Cr1MoVR: High-temperature high-pressure boiler headers and superheater cylinders below 550℃, anti high-temperature creep performance.
12Cr2Mo1R: Dedicated for large power station boilers and chemical supporting thermal equipment under long-term high temperature and high pressure working conditions.
(3) HIC-resistant boiler plates
Q345R(HIC), 15CrMoR(HIC), applied to chemical waste heat boilers with hydrogen sulfide medium to inhibit hydrogen induced cracking.

Delivery heat treatment condition
Controlled Rolling: Conventional stock of Q245R, Q345R for medium & low temperature working conditions.
Normalizing: Thick plates over 50mm to improve overall toughness and internal uniformity.
Normalized + Tempered: Cr-Mo alloy heat-resistant boiler plates to stabilize high-temperature metallographic structure.
Surface finish: Hot rolled black surface, shot blasting rust removal and protective primer spraying available on request.
UT inspection grade: Grade Ⅱ ultrasonic testing as standard, Grade Ⅰ full-plate inspection optional for export orders.
6. Production Process
Molten iron refining for desulfurization & dephosphorization → Continuous casting slab rolling → High-temperature homogenizing heating → Precise temperature-controlled rolling → Heat treatment (quenching & tempering / normalizing) → Plate straightening & leveling → Full-plate ultrasonic non-destructive inspection → Sampling physical & chemical tests (tensile test, high-temperature tensile test, V-type low-temperature impact test, chemical composition analysis, metallographic test) → Mark spraying, weighing, bundling and warehousing.Each batch is attached with original mill test certificate, including heat number, mechanical test report, ultrasonic inspection report and composition analysis report, satisfying inspection requirements of domestic special inspection institute, customs and third-party inspectors for export.
