1. Product Overview
The standard name of deformed steel bar is Hot Rolled Ribbed Bar (Rebar). It is the primary load-bearing steel for reinforced concrete structures. Two longitudinal ribs and evenly distributed transverse crescent ribs are rolled on the bar surface, which greatly improve the bonding force between steel bar and concrete, prevent sliding under stress and enhance the bearing capacity and seismic performance of buildings.

Mandatory special requirements for seismic rebar (Grade E): Strength ratio ≥1.25, yield strength ratio ≤1.30, total elongation at maximum force ≥9%. Compulsory for construction in seismic zones.
Chemical Composition (Internal Control Standard)
C ≤0.25%, Si ≤0.80%, Mn ≤1.60%, P ≤0.045%, S ≤0.045%, Carbon Equivalent Ceq ≤0.55. Low harmful impurities ensure stable welding and bending performance.

4. Production Process
Steelmaking: Molten steel smelted by converter or electric furnace, continuously cast into steel billets
High-temperature rolling: Billets heated above 1100°C, continuously rolled by bar mill with rib patterns formed simultaneously
Controlled cooling: Air cooling or water quenching to stabilize metallographic structure and guarantee strength & toughness
Finishing & Bundling: Fixed-length cutting, surface marking, strapping and quality inspection before warehousing
5. Surface Quality & Marking Requirements
Surface: Clear and uniform ribs, free of cracks, scabs, folds, delamination and severe rust; flat cut ends
Permanent Marking: Each bar is embossed with permanent marks including manufacturer code, steel grade and nominal diameter for traceability
Dimensional Tolerance: ±6% for Φ6–12mm; ±5% for Φ14–20mm; ±4% for Φ22–50mm, complying with national standard deviation limits

8. Packaging, Delivery & Quality Warranty
Packaging: Mechanically bundled with galvanized steel strips, each bundle weighs 2–3 tons. Metal quality tags are attached to each bundle marked with size, grade, heat number and weight
Lead Time: 5–7 days for regular in-stock sizes; 7–10 days for special large sizes or customized export orders. Direct container loading available at Tianjin Port
Quality Guarantee: Original mill test certificate (MTC) with full mechanical and chemical test reports provided for each batch. Third-party inspection (SGS, BV etc.) is acceptable.
Transportation: Truck, railway and sea container shipping are all available. FOB Tianjin Port or CIF terms can be arranged for foreign trade
9. Quality Inspection Items
Visual & dimensional inspection: Diameter, rib height, rib spacing and surface defects
Mechanical tests: Tensile test (yield strength, tensile strength, elongation), 180° cold bending test
Chemical analysis: Carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and carbon equivalent
Special seismic test for Grade E rebar: Strength ratio, yield ratio and total elongation at maximum force
