1. Product Overview
Cast pipes are seamless pipes integrally formed by pouring molten cast iron or cast steel through centrifugal casting, sand casting and continuous casting processes. With no welding seams and dense metallographic structure, they are mainly divided into four categories: ductile iron cast pipes, gray iron cast pipes, heat-resistant alloy cast steel pipes and high-chromium wear-resistant cast pipes. Featuring high pressure resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and superior wear resistance, they are widely applied in municipal water supply and drainage, gas transmission, chemical high-temperature furnaces, power plants, mine wear-resistant conveying and steel structure engineering.
Core Process Advantages (Mainstream Centrifugal Casting)
The high-speed centrifugal force enables uniform distribution of molten metal, achieving minimal wall thickness deviation. The pipe interior is free of shrinkage cavities, porosity and slag inclusions, with a density of no less than 99.5%.
Integral one-piece forming without welding seams delivers excellent leakage and burst resistance under high-pressure working conditions, far superior to welded pipes.
A wide range of customizable materials are available, including ordinary cast iron, carbon steel, high-chromium-nickel heat-resistant steel and bimetallic composite cast pipes.
Outstanding advantages in manufacturing large-diameter and thick-walled specifications with lower production costs than rolled seamless pipes and stable delivery cycles.

2.1 Ductile Iron Cast Pipe (Main Municipal Product)

2.4 High-chromium Wear-resistant Cast Pipe (Mining & Metallurgy Conveying)
Made of Cr15 and Cr26 high-chromium cast iron with hardness ≥58HRC. Its service life is 3-5 times that of ordinary steel pipes, suitable for wear-resistant conveying pipelines of ore pulp, coal powder and gravel.

3.2 Connection Types
T-type / N1-type flexible socket joint: Sealed with rubber rings, allowing slight angle deflection and foundation settlement, the mainstream choice for municipal projects
Flange joint: Applied to high-pressure chemical and high-temperature furnace pipelines with gasket sealing
Thread / groove joint: Used for small-diameter building water supply and drainage
Self-anchoring joint: Suitable for large-diameter deep burial and high-seismic-intensity areas

4. Complete Production Process (Centrifugal Casting)
Batching and Melting: Pig iron and scrap steel are put into the furnace for desulfurization and alloy conditioning; nodulizers are added for ductile iron pipes, and chromium-nickel alloy ratios are adjusted for heat-resistant pipes.
Centrifugal Pouring: Molten metal is poured into high-speed rotating water-cooled metal molds at a rotating speed of 500-1500r/min for centrifugal layered solidification.
Cooling and Demolding: Rapid water cooling for forming, then pipe blank demolding.
Heat Treatment: Ductile iron pipes undergo high-temperature annealing to eliminate chill layers and improve toughness; heat-resistant cast steel pipes adopt 1100-1180℃ solution treatment to eliminate casting stress.
Surface Treatment: Sand blasting for oxide scale removal, external wall zinc spraying and internal wall anti-corrosion coating treatment.
Full Inspection: Hydrostatic burst test, UT/MT non-destructive testing, mechanical tensile and impact tests, dimensional re-inspection.
Marking and Packaging: Spray printing of specifications, furnace numbers and standards, packaged with steel strapping and waterproof films.
5. Quality Inspection Standards
Hydrostatic Test: Ductile iron pipes are kept under 1.5 times the working pressure for 30 minutes without leakage; heat-resistant cast pipes undergo high-pressure air tightness test according to working conditions.
Non-destructive Testing: UT ultrasonic testing, MT magnetic particle testing and RT ray testing to detect internal pores and cracks.
Mechanical Testing: Tensile test, Charpy impact test, Brinell and Rockwell hardness test.
Anti-corrosion Testing: Coating thickness test, adhesion test and acid-base immersion resistance test.
Executive Standards: National standards GB/T13295, GB/T8492, JG/T300; International standards ISO2531, ASTM A297, DIN17465.

8. Transportation, Storage and Installation Precautions
Lifting and Transportation: Use flexible slings; avoid direct scratch on pipe orifices with steel wire ropes, and prevent falling and impact cracks.
Storage: Stack pipes with a cushion height of more than 30cm outdoors, keep rainproof and moisture-proof, and stack by pipe diameter classification.
Installation Key Points: Clean sundries at socket joints and install rubber rings in place evenly; ensure coaxiality for flange butt joint and avoid forced dislocation compression; reserve thermal expansion gaps for high-temperature cast pipe installation.
Usage Restrictions: Do not operate under excessive rated pressure and design temperature for a long time, and avoid severe alternating impact of media.
