1. Product Introduction
Angle steel, also called angle iron, is L-shaped long section steel with two perpendicular legs at 90°. Widely used in construction, steel structure, machinery and infrastructure projects. It can be made into various load-bearing components or connecting fittings, featuring excellent welding, punching, bending and cutting performance, stable structure and high cost performance. Raw material is low carbon steel billet, manufactured by hot rolling or cold forming. Surface finishes include black hot rolled, hot-dip galvanized and painted for indoor, outdoor and coastal anti-corrosion usage.
2. Classification
Equal Angle Steel: Two legs with identical width, marked as L leg×leg×thickness (mm), symmetric cross-section for balanced load.
Unequal Angle Steel: Different leg widths, marked as L long leg×short leg×thickness (mm), directional bearing to save material.
Hot Rolled Angle Steel (Main): High mechanical strength for heavy engineering, standard GB/T706-2016.
Cold Formed Angle Steel: High dimensional precision, thin wall, only for light frames & decoration, GB/T6723-2017.
Surface Treatment: Mill black finish / Hot-dip galvanized (HDG, zinc coating ≥600g/㎡) / Primer painted
3. Main Steel Grades & Mechanical Properties
Q235B / S235JR / ASTM A36: Yield ≥235MPa, general construction, brackets, warehouse racks.
Q355B/C/D / S355JR / A572 Gr50: Yield ≥355MPa, high strength for bridge, heavy plant, low-temperature areas.
4. Specifications
Equal angle: 2#–20# (20–200mm leg width), thickness 3–24mm.Unequal angle: 3.2/2#–20/12.5#, thickness 3–24mm.Standard length: 6m / 9m / 12m, custom cutting 4–15m available.Weight formula: W(kg/m)=0.00785×T×(2W−T).

Domestic: GB/T706-2016, GB/T700, GB/T1591, GB/T13912International: EN10056-1, ASTM A36, JIS G3192, ISO630
6. Application
Steel workshop frame, photovoltaic support, transmission tower, bridge reinforcement, machinery base, warehouse shelf, ship fittings, cable tray, municipal guardrail, decoration light frame.
7. Packing & Delivery
Bundled with steel strips, metal label marked size, grade & heat number. Export packed with waterproof woven cloth.
Lead time: Stock goods 5–7 days, HDG customized 7–10 days, shipment available from Tianjin Port.
Mill Test Certificate (MTC) supplied, third-party inspection BV/SGS acceptable.
