MDC Explosion-proof and Anti-static Bag Dust Collector

The MDC explosion-proof and anti-static bag dust collector and the PDC ordinary bag dust collector are a new type of high-efficiency dust collector newly developed by Hefei Cement Research and Design Institute of the State Building Materials Bureau. The development of this equipment was completed on the basis of absorbing the advanced experience of similar foreign equipment and combining with the specific domestic situation. The MDC explosion-proof bag dust collector operates under negative pressure. It was successfully put into operation in a cement plant in Pixian, Jiangsu Province. It is a scientific and technological research project during the "Seventh Five-Year Plan" period of the country.


The MDC explosion-proof bag dust collector uses anti-static filter materials. The machine body has an explosion-proof structure and is equipped with a pressure relief device, which has explosion-proof performance. It is suitable for the coal powder preparation system and the collection of flammable and explosive dust. This equipment has few mechanical moving parts, small maintenance workload, and convenient bag replacement. Due to the use of pulse chamber-by-chamber ash cleaning, the dust collection efficiency is high, and it can operate efficiently for a long time. The dust collection efficiency is above 99.8%.


The MDC/PDC bag dust collector combines an inertial dust collector and a bag dust collector, so it has the function of secondary dust collection. The dust-containing gas first enters the pre-dust collection chamber and encounters the set obstacles, forcing the dust-containing airflow direction to change sharply. The coarse particles of dust change their original movement direction due to collision with the obstacles. Part of them fall into the ash hopper, and the rest enter the filter chamber equipped with filter bags with the airflow. The dust adheres to the outer surface of the filter bags. After the clean air passes through the filter bags, it passes through the upper clean air chamber, the exhaust duct, and the fan and is discharged.


As the dust on the surface of the filter bag fabric thickens, the resistance of the dust collector rises accordingly, and ash cleaning is required. The dust attached to the outer surface of the filter bag is cleaned by the pulsating airflow blown into the filter bag. The ash cleaning work is carried out chamber by chamber. This pulsating airflow can make the entire filter bag vibrate evenly and blow through the filter bag from the inside out, so it has a high ash cleaning effect. The switching action of the ash cleaning chamber is controlled by a solenoid valve and driven by a compressed air cylinder valve. The entire ash cleaning work is completed by the back-blowing fan, the pulsating valve, the cylinder and the ash cleaning control system.


Operating conditions for the MDC and PDC explosion-proof and anti-static bag dust collectors:


1. Operating resistance:


The no-load operating resistance under normal temperature conditions is 10 - 50 mm of water column, and the load operating resistance is generally controlled at 100 - 120 mm of water column.

The filtration wind speed (meters per minute) refers to the amount of gas passing through the filter cloth per unit area within a unit time. The filtration wind speed not only determines the size of the dust collector but also affects the dust collection efficiency, fluid resistance, dust cleaning effect, etc. To ensure the high efficiency of the dust collector and the service life of the filter bags, it is advisable that the filtration wind speed generally does not exceed 1.0 meters per minute.


4. Filter material selection:


The MDC series coal mill explosion-proof bag dust collectors use anti-static needle-punched felt filter materials, and the PDC series bag dust collectors use non-anti needle-punched felt or 208 industrial polyester. Different filter materials can also be configured according to different needs of users.
