The welding fume purifier is an environmentally friendly device specifically designed for industrial welding, cutting, and grinding processes. It is used to collect and purify toxic fumes and dust generated during operations, with filtration efficiency typically reaching 99.9%. Working Principle and Technical Parameters Core Working Principle: The equipment generates negative pressure through a fan to draw welding fumes and exhaust gases into a universal dust hood. After undergoing multi-stage treatment—including spark interception by a flame arrester, gravity settling of coarse particles, filtration of fine particles by a filter core, and adsorption of harmful gases by activated carbon—the emissions meet regulatory standards.
Capture phase: Utilize the 360-degree rotating suction arm to intercept the source of smoke and dust dispersion prior to their spread.
Purification stage: The PTFE-coated filter element intercepts particles larger than 0.3μm, while the activated carbon layer adsorbs toxic gases such as acetaldehyde and nitrogen oxides.
Key technical parameters: The standard air handling volume ranges from 1200 to 3000 m³/h, with motor power configurations typically 1.1KW or 2.2KW, and operating at 380V power supply voltage.
Filtration performance: The filtration efficiency for 0.3μm particles is no less than 99.9%, with some high-precision primary filters achieving up to 99.997%.
Noise control: After vibration damping and noise reduction treatment, the steady-state noise level typically does not exceed 85 dB(A), with some equipment achieving as low as 45 decibels.
Classification and Selection Criteria: Major categories of brand reference equipment include: By mobility, they are classified as mobile (single-arm/dual-arm), fixed, and centralized; by dust cleaning method, they are categorized as pulse reverse-blowing type and manual cleaning type.
Portable type: Suitable for workstations with limited space, small workpieces, or temporary operation sites, equipped with brake-equipped swivel casters at the base.
Centralized type: Suitable for scenarios with multiple workstations, large workpieces, or robotic welding operations, requiring the installation of piping systems.

Selection and Procurement Guide: Appropriate air volume and arm length (commonly 2-5 meters) should be selected based on the number of welding stations, dust emission volume, and workshop layout.
Special operating conditions: Large workshops may opt for self-circulating welding fume purifiers, eliminating the need for pipeline installation and reducing installation costs.
Governance standards and maintenance of safety in fume hazard control: Welding fumes contain harmful substances such as Fe₂O₃, SiO₂, and MnO. Prolonged inhalation may lead to occupational diseases including welder's pneumoconiosis and manganese poisoning, necessitating effective control measures.
Toxic components: including ozone, nitrogen oxides, acetaldehyde, and various metallic suspended particles, some of which are carcinogenic.
Routine maintenance: Filter cartridges should be purged with compressed air weekly, dust collection drawers should be cleaned monthly, and suction arm fasteners should be inspected every two months.
Filter element maintenance: Do not soak the filter element in water. The pulse backflushing system can automatically clean the dust to extend service life.
Safety Operation Procedures: Before startup, ensure the equipment is free of foreign objects and the doors are tightly closed. During maintenance, the main power supply must be disconnected and a shutdown sign must be displayed. Open flame inhalation is strictly prohibited.
