The Z2S type check valve is a pilot-operated check valve with a stack valve plate design.
For leak-free blocking of one or two actuator ports, even for long-term shutdown situations.
In the direction from A1 to A2 or B1 to B2, free flow is possible; in the opposite direction, the flow is blocked.
For example, if the flow direction of the valve is from A1 to A2, the control spool will move towards the B side, opening the ball seat valve and pushing the valve core off its seat. The hydraulic oil can now flow from B2 to B1.
In order to safely close the ball seat valve, the control spool must be hydraulically unloaded (please refer to the oil circuit example).
Pre-opening
Due to the pre-opening, the pressurized liquid can be depressurized in a damped manner. This avoids possible commutation shocks.
Due to the use of a two-stage setting with an enlarged opening control area ratio, safe unloading can also be achieved with a lower pilot pressure.
Note:
If the valve does not have a pre-opening, the trapped pressure volume may be suddenly unloaded. The resulting commutation shock will not only cause premature wear of the installed components but also generate noise.
