Anti-corrosion Design
The DBD Type Relief Valve is a Direct-acting Seat Valve. These valves are used to limit the system pressure.
These valves are mainly composed of the following components: Sleeve, Spring, Valve Core with Damping Plunger (Pressure Rating 25 bar … 400 bar) or Ball (Pressure Rating 630 bar) and Adjustment Type. The system pressure can be steplessly adjusted using the Adjustment Type. The spring pushes the valve core or ball onto the valve seat. Channel P is connected to the system. The pressure existing in the system will act on the valve core surface (or ball). If the pressure in Channel P exceeds the value set on the spring, the valve core or ball will open against the spring. At this time, the hydraulic oil flows from Channel P into Channel T. The stroke of the valve core is limited by the knurling.
In order to achieve good pressure adjustment over the entire pressure range, the entire pressure range has been divided into 7 pressure ratings. One pressure rating corresponds to the maximum working pressure that a specific spring can set.
Note:
The Adjustment Type is specially constructed to prevent its loss. Thanks to the gimbal design, the adjustment element in the Adjustment Type will remain loose (movable) after complete unloading.
Pressure Rating "25": Even though the Adjustment Type is in the fully unloaded state, if the minimum pressure is not determined, the adjustment element will still "return" to the stop state under the action of a small spring force and/or restoring force.
After pressure adjustment/boosting, the adjustment element can be screwed in again.

24 V operating voltage
The amplifier is used to control proportional valves without electrical position control.
It is directly connected to the coil plug of the valve. The connection cable on the control side (UB, control value) is guided and connected through the cable bundle coil.
The LED signals the available power supply voltage. Depending on the amplifier type, the control value is preset to a voltage of 0...10 V or a current of 4...20 mA.
The control value can be adjusted through the valve zero potentiometer and the sensitivity potentiometer. In the case of voltage specifications, a differential input can be used.
In addition, the control value can be guided through a ramp.
To adapt to special applications, the dither current amplitude potentiometer has a variable design.
Upon delivery, the dither current amplitude potentiometer is set to the optimum value, so that another adjustment is only necessary in the above special cases.

The analog control electronic component VT5041-3X... is designed as an insertion card in European format. Each is standard equipped with a control value input terminal for pressure and angle (power limitation, optional). The actual pressure value is recorded by a pressure sensor. The position sensor on the pump records the actual angle value. The recorded actual values are processed in the amplifier and compared with the control values. The small value generator ensures that only the controller assigned to the required operating point is automatically activated. The output signal of the small value generator becomes the control value of the valve control loop.
With appropriate control values, the optional power limitation can be automatically activated. The power control value can be set internally or externally. If necessary, the angle control value is limited by the small value generator. The obtained angle control value can be measured at socket 7.
The actual valve value (spool position) is recorded by an inductive position sensor. The oscillator/demodulator circuit is responsible for signal processing. The control deviation is generated and further processed in the spool position controller. The output signal of the valve controller forms the control value of the self-timing current output stage, which controls the proportional coil of the valve.
The control electronic component has a fault message output terminal. When an error occurs, its voltage is 0 V (= low activity). At the same time, the "Err." LED lights up. According to the configuration of jumper J1, the valve output stage can be powered off using the error message.
Causes of fault messages:
Internal power supply error
The actual pressure value is greater than the allowable system pressure
(Socket 2: p actual > 11.5 V)
Missing enable signal on interface 26c
Cable break or out of corner feedback range
Cable break or out of spool feedback range
"Pressure sensor" cable break (when set to 4 - 20 mA, 0.5 - 5 V and 1 - 10 V)
The time when the control error (control deviation x controller gain) is greater than 4 V exceeds 1 second (40 %)
When an error occurs, the electronic components can be configured to cut off the power of the output stage and push the spool into its mechanical end position. In this way, the pump will swing back. The error can only be confirmed by resetting the enable signal.

General information
These amplifier modules are suitable for mounting on top-hat rails. Electrical connections are established through 3 tension spring plugs. The power supply voltage is 24 VDC.
Power supply equipment
The internal power supply equipment is equipped with an inrush current limiter to prevent current peaks. In addition, reverse polarity protection function is also integrated.
Control value, control value adder
"Internal control value" includes:

In the pressure valve, a positive control value will increase the pressure at the valve.
For valves of type 4W...1), the following applies:
Through coil B, a control value of 0 - +10 V or 12 - 20 mA makes the fluid in the valve flow from P to A and from B to T.
Through coil A, a control value of 0 - -10 V or 12 - 4 mA makes the fluid in the valve flow from P to B and from A to T. In the expert setting, it is possible to change the polarity of the control value [5] (please refer to the operating instructions 30232-B).
During normal operation, the "internal control value" can be measured at the "V" measurement socket.
Ramp
The ramp limits the slope of the control value.
You can choose between a single ramp (all ramps have the same time, default value) and a 4Q/2Q ramp (the ramp times are different). The 4Q/2Q ramp times are set in the expert setting. The characteristic curve generator does not affect the ramp time.
Control value attenuator "G"
The control value can be reduced by using the control value attenuator.

In the characteristic curve generator, the preset valve characteristic curve can be adjusted to the actual hydraulic and control technology conditions.

Clock generator
The clock generator generates the clock frequency "f" of the output stage. When using Rexroth valves, the clock frequency sometimes varies with the control value and/or the operating voltage.

The maximum allowable current for each output, depending on the set valve. The output stage is designed to be short-circuit proof. The output stage will turn off if there is an internal interference signal or the enable signal is missing.
