VerticalElectric Tar Catcher can be widely used for precise tar removal and purification of blast furnace gas, water gas, biomass gas, asphalt fume, etc. It has the advantages of high purification efficiency (up to over 99%), easy treatment of recovered materials, long - term safe and reliable operation, simple operation, and low maintenance cost. It is an ideal equipment for purifying asphalt smoke in roasting furnaces and asphalt melting warehouses. The shell of the honeycomb electric tar catcher adopts a cylindrical structure, and the internal precipitation electrode uses a structure similar to a honeycomb. The honeycomb structure has a regular hexagon cross - section for the channels. Two adjacent regular hexagons share one side, that is, the six sides of the regular hexagon in the middle are shared by the six regular hexagons surrounding it. Its principle is to apply high - voltage direct current between the metal wire and the metal tube wall (precipitation plate), forming a corona area between the positive and negative electrodes. When the gas containing tar droplets and other impurities passes through this electric field, the impurities that have adsorbed negative ions and electrons move to the precipitation electrode under the action of the electric field Coulomb force, release the charges they carry, and are adsorbed on the precipitation electrode. When the amount of impurities adsorbed on the precipitation electrode increases to be greater than its adhesion, they will automatically flow down and be discharged from the bottom of the electric tar catcher, thus achieving the purpose of purifying the gas. Compared with other tar catchers, the honeycomb electric tar catcher has the advantages of a compact and reasonable structure, no electric field cavities, a small barrel diameter, less floor space, a large effective cross - section (gas purification working surface), large gas treatment capacity at low cost, low power consumption, large amount of collected tar with good oil quality, high purification efficiency, and the pollutants after treatment can reach the emission standards.
