1 Product Overview
Precision Security Filter (cartridge security filter) is a pressure-driven precision filtration unit installed upstream of high-pressure pumps & RO membrane modules as core protection equipment for pure water systems. Raw water containing impurities enters vessel tangentially. Fluid flows through cartridges from outside inward; suspended solids & colloids larger than nominal rating are trapped on outer surface, while purified fluid converges at cartridge center and flows toward downstream membranes.
Compared with multimedia filters & bag filters, it delivers higher filtration accuracy and stable outlet water quality. Micron-scale particle interception prevents expensive membrane elements from scratch damage. When contaminant accumulation causes differential pressure to rise to preset limit, shut down and replace cartridges to restore performance.Sanitary version features mirror polished dead-space-free interior for sterile water supply in pharmaceutical & electronics industry. High-flow variant adopts large diameter pleated cartridges to reduce cartridge quantity and minimize overall equipment footprint under equal flow demand.

3 Working Principle
Raw water carrying colloids & fine solid particles enters filter chamber and flows evenly to each vertically installed cartridge under system operating pressure.Fluid permeates from cartridge outer surface toward central channel. Micropores trap suspended solids, rust & organic flocs above rated filtration size. Clean medium converges and exits toward high-pressure pump & reverse osmosis system.Contaminant accumulation gradually reduces effective flow area and raises differential pressure. When DP reaches warning limit (0.08～0.10 MPa), shut down and replace cartridges to avoid element breakthrough which will send raw unfiltered water to damage downstream membranes.After cartridge replacement, seal top cover, purge air inside vessel and restart system for continuous filtration.

6 Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance Specification
Install strictly following flow arrow marking; reverse inlet/outlet connection prohibited. Fit temperature-resistant gasket between flanges and tighten bolts evenly in diagonal sequence.Preferred installation position: straight pipe section upstream of high-pressure pump, avoid elbows & tees which create turbulent flow.Remove welding slag & metal debris inside vessel before commissioning; verify smooth operation of auto air vent without sticking.Record differential pressure trend during daily patrol and arrange cartridge replacement once DP exceeds warning value.Open vessel for full inspection of internal corrosion & plate deformation during annual overhaul, replace all silicone sealing gaskets simultaneously.Install multimedia filter / activated carbon filter as upstream pre-treatment if raw water persistently carries excessive suspended solids.Close isolation valves and drain residual water for long-term shutdown to keep interior dry & ventilated.
