1 Product Overview
Plate and Frame Oil Filter (LY Series Filter Cart) is a pre-treatment oil purification equipment based on pressure penetration principle.Gear pump delivers contaminated oil into sealed filter chambers formed by stacked plates and frames. Oil penetrates filter paper under pressure; solid particles are trapped on and inside paper, while minor free water is adsorbed by paper fibers. Clean oil converges along plate grooves and flows out. Rising differential pressure indicates saturated filter paper. Stop the unit, release clamping screws and replace filter paper for continuous operation.

3 Working Principle
Pressurized Delivery StagePump draws contaminated oil; fluid firstly passes inlet strainer to eliminate large debris and avoid pump abrasion.
Plate & Frame Deep Filtration StageOil enters stacked sealed chambers and penetrates filter paper under pressure. Metal chips, dust and sludge are intercepted; filter paper fibers adsorb free water and soft colloids.
Clean Oil Collection & Discharge StagePurified oil flows along plate guide grooves and exits for tank circulation or equipment oil filling.Contaminant accumulation raises differential pressure. Shut down at upper pressure limit, loosen screw rods and replace all filter paper before restarting.
Important Notice: This unit only removes free water via paper adsorption. It cannot process emulsified water. Coalescing or vacuum purifier is required for heavily emulsified oil.

6 Installation, Commissioning & Maintenance Specification
Place unit on flat ground and lock casters. Avoid pumping sludge directly from tank bottom.Lay filter paper flat without wrinkles during commissioning; clamp plates evenly to prevent oil bypass.Vent all air inside piping and plate chambers before startup and verify stable pressure under no-load operation.Monitor differential pressure continuously. Replace filter paper timely once pressure reaches upper limit to avoid contaminant penetration and secondary pollution.Cut power and fully depressurize before paper replacement. Clean residual sludge inside plate grooves and inspect gaskets.Disassemble plate frame for sludge removal and dry storage during long shutdown to avoid dirt buildup caused by damp filter paper.
