Multi-functionalization and compounding. To facilitate users and meet market needs, various small pneumatic systems composed of multiple pneumatic components and equipped with control devices have been developed. For example, a component for moving small items is formed by combining two cylinders with guides along the X-axis and Z-axis respectively. This component can move a 3kg heavy object, is equipped with a solenoid valve and a programmer, has a compact structure, occupies a small space, and the stroke can be adjusted. Another example is a loading and unloading module, which has seven different functional module forms and can complete the loading and unloading operations on a precision assembly line. Different modules can be arbitrarily combined according to the operation content. Combined with electronic technology, a large number of sensors are used, and pneumatic components are intelligentized. Cylinders with switches are commonly used in China. The switches will be smaller in size and higher in performance, and can be embedded in the cylinder body; some also have two-color display, which can show the position error and make the system more reliable. Using sensors to replace flow meters and pressure gauges can automatically control the flow and pressure of compressed air, which can save energy and ensure the normal operation of the using device. Pneumatic servo positioning systems have products on the market. This system uses a three-position five-way pneumatic servo valve to compare the pre-determined positioning target with the detection data of the position sensor and implement negative feedback control. When the cylinder speed reaches 2m/s and the stroke is 300mm, the system positioning accuracy is ±0.1mm. Japan has successfully developed a new type of intelligent solenoid valve. This valve is equipped with a logic circuit with a sensor and is a product of the combination of pneumatic components and optoelectronic technology. It can directly receive the signals from the sensors. When the signals meet the specified conditions, it can complete the action by itself without passing through an external controller to achieve the control purpose. It has been applied on the conveyor belt of objects and can identify the size of the transported objects, allowing large items to be sent directly and small items to be diverted.
