Technical Instructions
Assembly Composition: TS 10205 is a complete cleaning mechanism assembly for Gtex equipment, including:
Cleaning Blade/Wiper (Tampon/Cleaner): Used to clean the oil stains on the tape surface when the measuring tape is retracted
FKM Fluoroelastomer Seals: Have excellent oil and chemical corrosion resistance
Bearings and Fixings: Ensure the smooth operation of the cleaning mechanism
Important Note: According to Honeywell's official maintenance manual, the following items are not included in the TS 10205 assembly and need to be ordered separately:
TS 40621 (Seal/Gasket)
TS 11228 (Locating Pin/Screw)
TS 11223 (Knob Part)
Functions and Applications
Main Functions
Tape Cleaning: Automatically remove the residual oil or chemicals on the tape surface when the measuring tape is retracted after the measurement is completed
Airtight Protection: Cooperate with FKM sealing materials to ensure no gas leakage during closed operation of the equipment
Protect the Measuring Tape: Prevent contaminants from entering the equipment and extend the service life of the tape
Applicable media
FKM version (standard type): Suitable for hydrocarbons (petroleum products such as crude oil, gasoline, and diesel)
For corrosive chemicals, the FFKM chemical version (corresponding to the UTImeter Gtex Chem model) should be used

Maintenance suggestions
Regular inspection: The wear of the cleaning blade and the aging degree of the FKM seals should be regularly checked
Replacement cycle: Depending on the frequency of use (especially in harsh offshore environments), it is recommended to conduct an inspection once a year
Compatibility: Ensure that it is only used for the Gtex standard version (FKM). The cleaning components made of different materials should be used for the chemical version (Chem)
