50μL (microliter) pipette, a dedicated pipette for the 1140 Water Separation Index Tester
A dedicated pipette (50μL (microliter) pipette) for the American EMCEE 1140 Water Separation Index Tester, sold by Xiamen Jielian Instrument & Equipment Technology Co., Ltd. It is blue, made of aluminum, and has a volume of 50 μL. It is required for precise water injection in water separation tests.
Operation Instructions
Hold the micropipette perpendicular to the workbench, insert the tip into the pipette tip, and then gently press the tip to shear the tip and remove the residue.
Hold the micropipette and gently rotate it to ensure a tight seal.
Completely press the plunger before entering the sample solution.
Immerse the tip about 1/4 inch into the sample solution.
Allow the plunger to return to the released position.
Remove the tip from the sample solution. Do not touch the tip before opening it.
To completely empty the contents of the tip, lean the tip of the tip against the inner wall of the receiving container, and then slowly press the plunger. Make sure to move the tip away from the inner wall of the receiving container before releasing the plunger. After all the contents are dispersed, move the tip away from the inner wall of the receiving container, and then allow the plunger to return to the released position. In some applications, it may be necessary to immerse the tip of the tip into the existing solution in the receiving container without touching the inner wall of the container. The contents should also be dispersed before releasing the plunger. Then, move the tip away from the container wall and release the plunger.
Use the "blow-out" jar to extract the used tip.
Precautions
Sometimes, the rubber ring and nozzle of the pipette may be loose. Before use, manually tighten the rubber ring and then gently tighten the nozzle.
At the beginning of each operation, press and release the plunger several times. Due to the strong synergy of the micropipette, it is necessary to press and release the plunger smoothly and slowly.
After long-term use, the disposable tip may leave a thin film on the nozzle. This may prevent the precision disposable pipette from sealing properly. This thin film can be removed by cleaning the end of the nozzle with any available solvent.
The micropipette is designed to be used with other precision disposable pipettes. Only when used with the micropipette will an accuracy and repeatability of ±1% be guaranteed.
Complies with GAMP/GLP and NCCLS guidelines. The pipette model is 50S, with an accuracy of ±3% at 20 - 22°C.

Calibration Process
This pipette is calibrated gravimetrically using distilled water, the manufacturer's pipette tips, and a Mettler analytical balance. All balances are calibrated with traceable weights and certified by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
