1. Product Definition
Boiler Plate, full name Special Steel Plate for Boilers, marked with suffix "R" for pressure equipment grade. It is dedicated to manufacturing boiler drums, headers, heating surfaces, steam tanks, heat exchangers and other high-temperature & high-pressure pressure-bearing components. Strict control of sulfur and phosphorus impurities during smelting; mandatory low-temperature impact test, high-temperature tensile test and 100% ultrasonic non-destructive testing. It features outstanding high-temperature creep resistance, alternating pressure resistance, excellent weldability, hydrogen corrosion resistance and low-temperature anti-brittle fracture performance, serving as core safety material for special pressure equipment.

2. Main Grades & Service Conditions
2.1 Carbon Steel Boiler Plate (Medium-Low Temperature & Medium-Low Pressure)
Q245RMinimum yield strength ≥245MPa, service temperature range -20℃ ~ 475℃, delivered hot rolled or normalized. Low impurity content, superior weldability and cost-effective.Application: Civil hot water boilers, small steam boilers, low-pressure heat exchange shells, normal-pressure steam storage tanks.
2.2 Low Alloy High Strength Boiler Plate (Mainstream for Power & Industrial Boilers)
Q345R (Most Widely Used Grade)Yield strength ≥345MPa, qualified for -20℃ impact test, thickness range 6–200mm; HIC resistant grade Q345R(HIC) available.Application: Industrial boiler drums, waste heat boilers, shell & tube heat exchangers, low-pressure headers of power plants, oil & gas buffer storage tanks.
13MnNiMoRHeavy high strength boiler plate, thickness 8–300mm, reliable low & medium temperature toughness, stable long-term service up to 500℃.Application: Large power station steam drums, heavy waste heat boilers, large high-pressure heat exchange equipment.
Q460R / Q460DR460MPa high strength grade; Q460DR suitable for cryogenic service down to -40℃, realize lightweight thin-wall design.Application: High-pressure waste heat boilers, low-temperature waste heat recovery pressure shells.
2.3 Cr-Mo Heat Resistant Alloy Boiler Plate (High Temp & High Pressure Power Station Boilers)
15CrMoRCr-Mo heat-resistant steel, maximum long-term service temperature 550℃, excellent anti-creep and anti-oxidation performance under high temperature.Application: High-temperature waste heat boilers, boiler superheater headers, high-temperature cracking heat exchange equipment.
14Cr1MoR / 12Cr2Mo1RSpecialized for high temperature & high pressure service, anti-hydrogen embrittlement & sulfidation corrosion, stable operation at 580℃.Application: Supercritical power station boilers, coal chemical high-temperature boilers, hydrogenation supporting boiler equipment.
2.4 Low-Temperature Boiler Plate (Low-Temp Waste Heat & Cryogenic Heat Exchange Boilers)
09MnNiDR / 15MnNiDRNickel alloy tempered steel, maintains high impact toughness at -40℃ ~ -70℃ to avoid brittle fracture under ultra-low temperature.Application: Low-temperature waste heat recovery boilers, LNG supporting heat exchange boilers, low-temperature steam separation equipment.

3. Heat Treatment Delivery Status
Hot Rolled / Controlled Rolling (TMCP): Standard for thin plate ≤16mm, uniform grain structure, lower cost; Q345R plates over 36mm thickness require mandatory normalizing.
Normalizing: Standard process for medium & heavy plates, refine grain and greatly improve low-temperature impact toughness.
Normalizing + Tempering: For heavy plates, Cr-Mo heat resistant plates and cryogenic boiler plates, release internal rolling stress and enhance high-temperature creep resistance.
Quenching + Tempering: For ultra-high strength heavy plates and boilers with hydrogen & H2S corrosive medium.
Optional Additional Properties
Z-direction performance Z15/Z25/Z35: Designed for thick plate T-joint welding to prevent lamellar tearing
Ultrasonic Test: Comply with NB/T47013 standard, standard Grade II; Grade I mandatory for power station high-pressure steam drums
Surface Pre-treatment: Shot blasting & anti-rust priming to reduce pre-processing work before welding in boiler factories
