1. Product Overview

Alloy steel pipe is a high-grade seamless pipe manufactured from premium mild carbon steel substrate with precisely added alloy elements including chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, nickel and manganese. Produced through high-temperature hot rolling, cold drawing and precision heat treatment, it features uniform metallographic structure and no welding weak points.

Compared with ordinary carbon steel pipes and galvanized steel pipes, alloy steel pipes possess outstanding comprehensive properties: high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, creep resistance, low temperature toughness, medium corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and ultra-long service life. Instead of relying on surface anti-corrosion coating, its superior performance comes from internal alloy metallization. It is a special pressure-bearing pipe specially used for power stations, boilers, petrochemical, coal chemical and high-pressure industrial projects.

2.1 Classification by Manufacturing Process

  • Hot Rolled Seamless Alloy Pipe (Main Industrial Grade): Mainly large diameter and thick wall, with high pressure resistance and excellent overall toughness. Widely applied for boiler main pipelines, high-temperature and high-pressure process pipelines, and petrochemical high-pressure transmission lines.

  • Cold Drawn Precision Alloy Pipe: Features high dimensional accuracy, uniform wall thickness, smooth inner and outer walls and tiny tolerance. Suitable for mechanical manufacturing, hydraulic cylinders, precision equipment and heat exchanger small-bore tubes.

  • Hot Expanded Alloy Pipe: Medium and large-diameter thin-wall alloy pipe with high cost performance, commonly used for large-diameter process pipelines and municipal energy transmission projects.

2.2 Classification by Performance & Application Scenarios

  • Heat-Resistant & High-Pressure Alloy Pipe (Boiler Special): Grades 15CrMo, 12Cr1MoVG, P11, P22. Stable service under 450–580℃ long-term high temperature, excellent high-temperature oxidation and creep resistance. Dedicated for power station superheaters, reheaters and main steam pipelines.

  • Supercritical High-Alloy Heat-Resistant Pipe: Grades P91, P92, 10Cr9Mo1VNb. Maximum working temperature over 620℃ with ultra-high pressure resistance. Applied for large thermal power plants, supercritical units and high-end energy equipment.

  • Low-Temperature Weather-Resistant Alloy Pipe: Grades 16MnDG, A333 Gr6. Excellent low-temperature impact toughness, suitable for LNG transmission, low-temperature chemical industry and extreme cold outdoor pipeline projects.

  • Mechanical Structural Alloy Pipe: Grades 35CrMo, 42CrMo. High strength, wear resistance and fatigue resistance, widely used for mechanical shaft sleeves, hydraulic cylinders and engineering machinery structural parts.

  • Corrosion-Resistant Alloy Pipe: Cr-Mo alloy system with excellent resistance to hydrogen sulfide and weak acid-base medium, matching refining, chemical cracking and hydrogenation unit pipelines.
