PTFE-clad gasket, also known as PTFE-encapsulated gasket, features a pure PTFE outer layer and an EPDM/fluororubber inner, combining the strong corrosion resistance of PTFE with the high resilience of rubber; it is resistant to strong acids and alkalis, suitable for enamel reactors, chemical and food piping flanges, be custom-made in various shapes including round, square, and with handles.

  1. Product Structure The PTFE-rubber composite gasket is made by laminating and pressing two layers of materials: Outer layer: Pure (polytetrafluoroethylene) film, completely isolating acid, alkali, and solvent corrosive media; Inner layer: Elastic rubber core (mainstream EPDM, FKM, silicone), providing compression rebound to compensate for flange gaps and unevenness. Industry standard HG/T20628, also commonly known as PTFE-jacketed gasket,-lined rubber gasket, or PTFE-coated gasket. 2. Distinction between the two main core materials EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) core (Generalpurpose bestseller) Resistant to water, weak acids and alkalis, steam, and food media; good rebound; odorless and food-grade; applicable temperature -40℃ 120℃; preferred choice for water treatment, pharmaceuticals, enamel reactors, and pure water pipelines; high cost-performance ratio. FKM (Fluoroelastomer) (Strong corrosion / Oil-resistant version) Resistant to organic solvents, oils, and concentrated acids and alkalis; high-temperature resistance up to 180℃ specifically for petrochemical, desulfurization, and strongly corrosive chemical pipelines. Silicone core Clean and non-extracting; used in high-temperature food equipment and medical equipment.

Dual performance combination, solving the shortcomings of single gaskets Pure PTFE gasket: Corrosion-resistant but no resilience, easily leaks if the flange is uneven; Ordinary rubber gasket: Good resilience but not resistant to strong acids and alkalis, easily swollen and damaged by solvents; PTFE-rubber composite gasket: Outer layer corrosion, inner rubber provides resilient sealing, a perfect fit for both. Superb chemical corrosion resistance The outer PTFE layer withstands almost all strong acids, strong alkalis, salt, organic solvents, and disinfectants; the medium will not contact the inner rubber, making the gasket resistant to swelling, aging, and damage. High compression resilience, leak-proof at low pressure The rubber core has sufficient elasticity and a high compression rate, capable of filling gaps in enamel, glass, and old scratched flanges; it does not require excessive bolt tightening, protecting brittle flanges from cracking. Clean and non-extracting for food and pharmaceutical use Pure PTFE   eco-friendly EPDM raw materials, no harmful substances extracted, food and pharmaceutical production standards, without contaminating medicinal liquids, food raw materials, or pure water. Non-stick medium, easy to clean The PTFE surface does not stick tories or crystalline materials; the gasket surface is easy to rinse after disassembly, leaving no corrosive medium residue.

Chemical industry: acid and alkali piping, storage tanks, heat exchangers, desulfurization equipment, pump and valve flange seals; Special for glass-lined: glass-lined reactors, manholes, handholes, sight glass gaskets, to prevent the glass lining from cracking under pressure; Food and pharmaceuticals: fermentation tanks, ingredient piping purified water equipment, high-temperature sterilization piping; Water treatment and environmental protection: purified water equipment, sewage acid and alkali piping, chemical dosing equipment; Laboratory equipment: glass piping glass reactors, corrosion-resistant instrument interfaces; Petrochemical products: fluororubber core composite gaskets for oil-resistant working conditions.

✅ Suitable for: hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, nitric acid, caustic soda, various organic solvents, steam, pure water, food slurries, corrosive flue gas ❌ suitable for: molten alkali metals, high-temperature elemental fluorine (extremely few highly corrosive media)
