I. Product Introduction PTFE elastic tape, also known as expanded ePTFE soft PTFE, is made of high-purity polytetrafluoroethylene resin through high-temperature expansion and stretching to form a porous elastic structure. It is available in two main types: 3 single-sided adhesive and non-adhesive pure material. It is soft and highly elastic, capable of tightly fitting rough, uneven, and irregularly shaped flange surfaces, perfectly replacing traditional-asbestos gaskets and metal-wound gaskets. It is resistant to all pH acids and bases as well as organic solvents, non-toxic and clean. It is widely used for sealing ducts and piping flanges in the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries. Installation is simple, requiring no pre-machined gaskets; it can be cut and pasted directly on-site II. Product Differentiation 1. Single-sided 3M adhesive PTFE elastic tape (General Preferred Choice) Features a strong high-temperature adhesive on the back. Simply off the protective film and paste it directly onto the flange, eliminating the need for fixing and enabling fast construction. Suitable for air ducts, ordinary piping, small reactors, and frequently equipment, it adapts to most ambient and medium-temperature corrosive working conditions. 2. Non-adhesive high-purity expanded PTFE tape (Specialized for High Temperature / Food Pharmaceuticals) No adhesive exudation, 100% pure PTFE raw material, clean and free of impurities. It has stronger high-temperature resistance, making it suitable for260°C high-temperature working conditions, pharmaceutical purified water, food processing, and strong solvent sealing, preventing contamination from the adhesive layer. III. Nine Core Advantages✅ Ultra-high compression recovery, no air or liquid leakage The expanded porous structure has a compression recovery rate of ≥85%. It still tightly fills gaps even with slight flange or thermal expansion and contraction. It does not leak over long-term use, far superior to ordinary PTFE sheets and rubber gaskets. ✅ Resistant to all media and strong corrosion, for acids, bases, and solvents Extremely chemically inert, covering the full pH 0-14 range. It is not corroded by hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, soda, organic solvents, electroplating solutions, or electrolytes, making it a dedicated solution for strong corrosive working conditions that graphite and rubber seals cannot handle. ✅ Ultra-wide temperature range stable at high and low temperatures Stable for long-term use from -200°C to 260°C, and can withstand short-term high temperatures 280°C. It does not harden at low temperatures, nor does it melt, shrink, or fail at high temperatures, providing long-term sealing for equipment subject alternating hot and cold cycles. ✅ Soft texture, adapts to rough and irregular flanges The soft material can be easily bent to fill uneven surfaces, scratches, and curved or irregular faces. It eliminates the need for precision flange machining, significantly reducing equipment processing costs. ✅ Food and pharmaceutical grade cleanliness, no exudation or contamination Pure PTFE contains no and no adhesive exudation. It is non-toxic and odorless, meeting food contact standards. Its use in pharmaceutical, beverage, and purified water equipment will not contaminate raw materials.✅ Self-lubricating and non-stick to flanges, easy to disassemble for maintenance The non-stick surface property ensures that it will not stick to the flange sealing face after long-term high-temperature use. Equipment maintenance and cleaning are simple, reducing downtime losses. ✅ Anti-aging and long service life Resistant to UV rays, moisture, oils, it avoids the aging and hardening issues of rubber. The static sealing service life can reach 5-8 years, significantly extending the replacement cycle. ✅ Extremely simple installation cut freely on-site No need for punching or pre-fabricated gaskets. Use a utility knife to cut to the corresponding flange circumference on-site. The adhesive version is peeland-stick, allowing for rapid single-person construction. ✅ Environmentally friendly and asbestos-free, platform compliant Asbestos-free and free of harmful dust, it old asbestos sealing materials.
