150 TPD Zinc-Lead-Silver Flotation Process Workflow
Stage 1: Crushing Section (Two-Stage Crushing)
The raw run-of-mine (ROM) ore containing zinc, lead, and silver minerals is sequentially reduced in size to meet the grinding requirements.
Primary Crushing: The raw ore is first fed into the Jaw Crusher (Trituradora de mandíbulas, PEF400×600) to crush large blocks into manageable pieces.
Secondary Fine Crushing: The discharged material is transferred via a Belt Conveyor (Cinta transportadora, B500x15m) to the Fine Crusher (Trituradora fina, PEX250×1000) for secondary reduction to ensure the optimal feeding particle size for the ball mills.
Stage 2: Grinding and Classification Section (Two-Stage Grinding)
To liberate the target minerals (galena, sphalerite, and associated silver), a two-stage closed-circuit grinding system is utilized.
Primary & Secondary Grinding: The crushed fine ore is fed into the Ball Mill (Molino de bolas, MQG1818) for primary grinding, and further milled by the secondary Ball Mill (Molino de bolas, MQG1515).
Classification: The milled slurry is pumped by the Slurry Pump (Bomba de lodos, 3/2C-AH) into the Hydrocyclone unit (Hidrociclone, FX200-2). The underflow (oversized particles) returns to the ball mills for re-grinding, while the qualified overflow (fine slurry) proceeds to the next stage.
Stage 3: Conditioning and Flotation Section (Differential Flotation)
Since this is a multi-metal ore (Lead/Silver and Zinc), a differential flotation process is typically employed—usually floating lead and silver first, followed by zinc activation and flotation.
Agitation/Conditioning: The overflow slurry enters the Agitation/Mixing Tanks (Tanque de mezcla, XB-1500, 3 units). Here, specific ore dressing agents (collectors, frothers, and activators/depressants) are added sequentially and thoroughly blended with the pulp to prepare the mineral surfaces.
Flotation Separation: The conditioned slurry passes through a bank of Flotation Machines (Máquina de flotación, SF-1.2, 24 units). Through roughing, scavenging, and cleaning cycles within these 24 cells, the silver-lead concentrates and zinc concentrates are selectively separated into high-grade final products.
Stage 4: Power and Control Support System
Power Supply: The entire plant is powered by a 250kva Transformer system (Transformador de 250kva, 2 units) to step down the voltage properly for the heavy-duty machinery.
Centralized Control: The operation of all motors, crushers, mills, and pumps is centrally managed and monitored via the Electric Control Cabinet System (Sistema de armario de control eléctrico, 1 unit) to ensure process stability and safety.
