1.Product Introduction

The flotation cell for mineral separation plant is a heavy-duty, high-capacity industrial machine engineered to serve as the core separation unit within a comprehensive mineral processing facility. It specializes in processing large volumes of ore slurry by generating and dispersing a consistent stream of fine air bubbles. Based on the selective hydrophobic properties of the targeted mineral surfaces, valuable particles adhere to these bubbles and lift to the top of the cell, forming a rich froth layer that is cleanly separated from the remaining waste rock. Built for the demanding environments of modern separation plants, it ensures reliable, continuous throughput to optimize global metal and mineral production.

2.Application

This equipment is a fundamental component used throughout the roughing, scavenging, and cleaning circuits of modern mineral separation plants. It is highly versatile and widely deployed for the beneficiation of non-ferrous metals like copper, lead, zinc, and nickel, precious metals such as gold and silver, and ferrous metals like iron. It is equally critical in processing non-metallic industrial minerals, including potash, phosphate, fluorite, and sulfur. The machine is designed to handle high-density slurries directly from the grinding and classification circuits, making it suitable for both small-to-medium operations and ultra-large-scale concentrators.

3.Working Principle

The operational process focuses on establishing the ideal hydrodynamic balance required for continuous mineral recovery within the plant circuit. Once the mineral pulp has been conditioned with specific flotation reagents, it enters the cell tank where a specialized mechanical rotor-stator assembly or external air blower introduces air under pressure. This mechanism breaks the air into millions of micro-bubbles. The hydrophobic target mineral particles rapidly collide with and attach to these bubbles, ascending to the pulp surface to form a stable mineralized froth bed. The froth is then continuously skimmed off into concentrate launders, while the hydrophilic gangue continues down the plant line to be discharged as tailings.

4.Advantages

High-efficiency separation and broad applicability: Delivers rapid flotation kinetics and excellent particle-bubble collision efficiency, ensuring high recovery rates and high-grade concentrates across a wide variety of metallic and non-metallic mineral types. Robust and Flexible Processing Capacity: Offers a broad spectrum of equipment sizes, with unit volumes scaling up to super-large 800 cubic meters, providing flexible configuration options to perfectly match the daily tonnage requirements of any separation plant. Low Energy Consumption and Stable Operation: Employs an advanced, hydrodynamically optimized impeller design that achieves maximum air dispersion and slurry mixing with minimal power draw, cutting plant energy costs while ensuring reliable 24-hour full-load operation. Convenient Operation and Maintenance: Features a modular design with highly abrasion-resistant and corrosion-resistant internal liners, which drastically reduces component wear from harsh ore slurries and shortens scheduled maintenance windows. High Intelligence and Automation: Fully integrates with plant-wide automation and digital control networks, enabling automated pulp level tracking, precise pneumatic air volume regulation, and real-time froth monitoring for highly stable process control. Optimized structural design: The advanced internal cell geometry eliminates dead spots and pulp short-circuiting, maintaining heavy mineral solids in complete suspension while preserving a calm surface layer for optimal froth drainage and minimal concentrate contamination.
