Introduction
The Log Washer for Iron Ore is a heavy-duty washing and desliming machine specifically engineered for processing iron ores such as hematite, limonite, and magnetite. It is widely used in iron ore pre-concentration, mineral beneficiation pre-treatment, and raw ore upgrading applications.

Working Principle
The machine combines gravity separation, material-to-material attrition, hydraulic washing, and mechanical agitation to achieve efficient separation of iron ore from clay and impurities in a fully automated continuous process.
1. Clay Disintegration and Loosening
Raw iron ore enters the inclined washing trough, where high-torque spiral shafts continuously agitate and tumble the material. Intense friction, compression, and impact between ore particles break apart compacted clay lumps and release tightly bonded contaminants from the ore surface.
2. High-Pressure Washing and Classification
A network of high-pressure spray nozzles thoroughly washes the material, removing residual clay and impurities trapped in surface cracks and pores. Utilizing the density difference between iron ore and clay contaminants, heavier ore particles settle while lighter mud and suspended fines remain in suspension for removal.
3. Clean Ore Conveying and Discharge
The cleaned iron ore is continuously elevated and transported toward the discharge outlet by the spiral blades. An integrated dewatering section removes excess surface moisture before the material is discharged evenly to downstream processing equipment.
4. Sludge Overflow and Waste Removal
Suspended clay, wastewater, and fine contaminants are discharged through the overflow channel at the rear of the machine. This process ensures efficient separation of ore, sludge, and water while preventing secondary contamination of the cleaned product.
