Working Principle
The machine combines mechanical attrition scrubbing, high-pressure water washing, and gravity classification to achieve efficient separation of gravel, clay, impurities, and wastewater through a continuous automated process.
1. Clay Disintegration and Material Scrubbing
Gravel material enters the inclined washing trough, where heavy-duty spiral shafts continuously tumble, compress, and agitate the material. Strong particle-to-particle friction breaks down hardened clay lumps and removes stubborn mud coatings from the surface of the gravel.
2. Hydraulic Washing and Separation
A continuous water spraying system thoroughly washes the material. Due to density differences, clean gravel settles within the washing zone while lighter clay, silt, and suspended impurities remain in suspension and are carried away by the water flow.
3. Clean Gravel Discharge
After washing, the cleaned gravel is steadily conveyed upward by the spiral blades toward the discharge outlet. Excess moisture is removed before the material is transferred to downstream screening, crushing, or shaping equipment.
4. Slurry and Wastewater Discharge
Suspended mud, fine clay particles, and lightweight contaminants are discharged through the overflow outlet together with wastewater. This process ensures complete separation of gravel, clay, and water while preventing secondary contamination of the finished product.
