The scraper self-cleaning filter is a highly efficient and automated water and liquid treatment device that plays an important role in many industrial fields. Structural Composition
The scraper self-cleaning filter is mainly composed of a shell, a filter screen assembly, a scraper system, a drain valve, a drive motor, and an intelligent control unit. The filter screen assembly includes a coarse filter screen and a fine filter screen. The liquid to be treated first passes through the coarse filter screen to intercept large particle impurities and then enters the fine filter screen for precise filtration. The scraper system plays a key role during cleaning. The drive motor drives the scraper to perform a combined axial and rotational movement along the inner wall of the filter screen to remove the attached impurities.
Working Principle
After the liquid to be treated enters the filter from the water inlet, it first passes through the coarse filter screen to intercept large particle impurities and then enters the fine filter screen for more precise filtration. As the impurities continuously deposit on the inner side of the fine filter screen, a filter layer is formed, and a pressure difference is generated between the inlet and outlet. When the pressure difference reaches the preset value or the set cleaning cycle is reached, the control system starts the cleaning program. The drive motor drives the scraper to perform a combined axial and rotational movement along the inner wall of the filter screen to completely remove the attached impurities; at the same time, the drain valve opens, and the impurities are discharged with the water flow. The entire cleaning process lasts for dozens of seconds, during which the main water flow is uninterrupted. After the cleaning is completed, the drain valve closes, and the system returns to the initial state and enters the next filtration cycle.
Technical Parameters
The scraper self-cleaning filter has a variety of equipment models, such as N23, N45, etc. The filtration area varies among different models. For example, the filtration area of N23 is 2300 cm², and that of N45 is 4500 cm². The filtration accuracy generally ranges from 30 - 3000 microns. The filtration fineness of some products can reach 20 - 3500um, and there are high-precision filter elements (20 - 1500um) and low-precision filter elements (500 - 3500um). The ideal flow rate also varies by model. For example, the ideal flow rate of N23 is 20 m³/h. The motor power is generally 180W, three-phase, 380V, 50HZ; the air source requirement for the pneumatic drain valve is 5 SCFM (m³/h), the minimum pressure is 0.4 MPa, and the pressure is 0.8 MPa; the control box is 220V, 50HZ. The equipment pressure is generally between 0.4 - 1.0 Mpa, and the material is mostly SS304/SS316L.

This device has a wide range of applications and is suitable for industries such as water treatment, petrochemical, metallurgy, power, fine chemicals, coatings, inks, papermaking, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and metal processing. In addition to the conventional water filtration, it is particularly suitable for the self-cleaning filtration of high-viscosity liquids such as solvents, acid-base solutions, polymers, and coatings. For example, in the food industry, it can be used to filter impurities in food and beverages; in the coating industry, it can efficiently filter coatings to improve product quality. It can also be used for the filtration and purification of soybean protein slurry before spray drying. It is installed in front of the high-pressure homogenizer to filter and remove impurities from the protein slurry after high-temperature sterilization and stir and disperse it.

It can be connected to the central control room to meet the requirements of automated process operations. Some products have good sealing performance. The unique sealing structure, combined with special sealing rings and filter bag ring openings, can strictly prevent internal and external leakage.
Installation and Use
The equipment supports bypass installation, which facilitates maintenance and repair without shutting down the machine. The installation method can be horizontal or vertical. When installed vertically, the water inlet should face upwards; when installed horizontally, the sewage outlet should face downwards. Valves should be installed at the water inlet, water outlet, and sewage outlet. Among them, the sewage valve should preferably be of the quick-opening and closing type to ensure the cleaning effect and operational safety. The equipment commissioning should be completed by professional technicians, and the filtering cycle and cleaning time need to be set to ensure the stable operation of the system.
