Functional Description

106M1079-01 is a Universal AC Power Supply manufactured and designed by Bently Nevada. It is a part of the 3500/15 System. They are half-height modules that must be installed in specific slots on the rack's left side. The rack can house one or two power supplies that can be AC or DC in any combination. A full rack can be powered by either supply. When two power supplies are installed in a rack, the one in the lower slot serves as the primary power supply, and the one in the upper slot serves as the backup power supply. If installed, the secondary power supply serves as a backup for the primary one.

Features

• As long as a second power supply is installed, removing or inserting either power supply module has no effect on the operation of the rack.

• The DC Power Supplies accept a wide range of input voltages and converts them to voltages that other 3500 modules can accept.

• The Legacy AC Power Supply, High Voltage AC PIM, and Low Voltage AC PIM are incompatible with the Universal AC Power Supply and PIM (Power Input Module).

• The Legacy High Voltage and Low Voltage DC Power Supplies and PIMs are incompatible with the Legacy 3500 High Voltage and Low Voltage DC Power Supplies and PIMs.

Input Voltage:

• 110 to 220 Vac nominal Non-hazardous areas:85 to 264 Vac rms

• Hazardous areas: 85 to 250 Vac rms

• 120 to 373 Vac pk

• The universal AC Power Supply and Power Input Module are not compatible with the legacy High Voltage AC or Low Voltage AC units.

Input Frequency:

• 47 to 63 Hz
