VOK®-AP 996 R Micronized, Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) modified polyethylene wax for solventborne and powder coatings to improve surface properties.

The additive improves surface slip and scratch resistance. Improved dirt pick-up resistance of powder coatings. 

Recommended dosage  

0.5-2 % additive dosage (in supply form) based on total formulation.

The above recommended addition amount is for reference only, and the suitable addition amount needs to be determined by a series of tests. 

Incorporation method and processing guidance 

VOK®-AP 996 R should be mixed and stirred with resins, curing agents, pigments and other additives at high speed, and then all extruded and discharged.

Addition method and processing guidance The additive is best added to the coating at a moderate shear rate at the end of the production process.
