Y‑type strainer is a pipeline coarse‑filtration device with Y‑shaped structure. It is installed in pipeline systems to trap solid impurities such as rust, welding slag and sediment, so as to protect downstream equipment including valves, pumps and instruments. It mainly consists of valve body, filter screen cartridge, blow‑down cover and sealing gasket. Fluid flows in from inlet, impurities are trapped by filter screen, and clean fluid flows out from outlet. Impurities accumulate inside the screen. After shutdown, open the bottom blow‑down cover and take out the screen for cleaning. Valve body can be carbon steel, 304 or 316L stainless steel. Filter screen is mostly stainless‑steel woven mesh with precision from 20‑400 mesh. Connection types include flanged and threaded. Nominal pressure ranges from 1.0‑2.5 MPa. Applicable media cover water, oil, compressed air and chemical fluids. Widely used in water supply‑drainage, HVAC, petrochemical, metallurgy and power industries. Featuring simple structure and easy maintenance, it supports custom size, precision and material for specific working conditions.
