1. Product Definition
Checkered plate, also known as tread plate or diamond plate, is a special structural steel plate with continuous three-dimensional raised patterns rolled integrally by hot rolling process. The base plate and patterns are metallurgically bonded without risk of delamination or peeling. Its core functions include anti-slip & wear resistance, decorative effect, improved bending stiffness of the plate surface, and steel material saving.
Compared with plain flat steel plates, the three-dimensional patterns greatly increase surface friction coefficient, effectively preventing slipping of personnel or vehicles under humid, oily or waterlogged conditions. It is widely adopted for anti-slip load-bearing parts such as industrial walkways, ship decks, vehicle bottom plates and building stair platforms.
