1. Product Definition & Core Overview
Cold rolled steel coil (CRC) takes hot rolled pickled coil as raw material, undergoes multi-pass cold rolling at room temperature without heating, then is processed by annealing, temper rolling, trimming and recoiling. It is a high-precision thin steel raw material.
Compared with hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil features ultra-thin thickness, ultra-smooth metallic surface, tight dimensional tolerance, uniform hardness and superior deep drawing performance. The surface has no oxide scale, with clean silver-gray finish, which can be directly stamped, painted and electroplated without extra pickling treatment. It is the base material for galvanized coil, color coated coil, automotive stamping parts, household appliances and precision hardware. Available delivery forms include full hard cold rolled coil, annealed soft coil, temper rolled coil, cut-to-length cold rolled sheets and slitted narrow strips.

3. Product Classification & Main Grades
3.1 Classification by Forming Performance
(1) General Stamping Grade
Domestic grade: SPCC; European grade: DC01 Low carbon mild steel, good basic bending and simple stamping performance, suitable for ordinary metal shell, hardware bracket, cabinet, simple structural parts.
(2) Deep Drawing Grade
Domestic grade: SPCD; European grade: DC03 / DC04 Lower carbon content, excellent ductility, resistant to moderate stretching and flanging, widely used for home appliance shells, electric box shells, automotive interior accessories.
(3) Extra Deep Drawing Grade
Domestic grade: SPCE; European grade: DC05 / DC06 Ultra-low carbon steel with stabilized elements, ultra-high elongation, no cracking under large deformation, for automotive outer panels, complex deep drawing components, high-end household appliance shells.
(4) High Strength Cold Rolled Coil
Grades: HC340LA, HC420LA, HC500LA; HSLA cold rolled steel High yield strength, good collision resistance, applied to automotive structural parts, safety components, heavy equipment shells.
(5) Full Hard Cold Rolled Coil
No annealing after cold rolling, high hardness, high tensile strength, used for spring accessories, blade raw materials, high-rigidity thin plates requiring no secondary forming.
3.2 Classification by Delivery Surface & Treatment
Bright finish cold rolled coil: Smooth mirror metallic surface for high-grade spraying and electroplating
Matte temper rolled coil: Fine matte surface to avoid stamping scratch marks, preferred for automotive panels
Dry surface / oiled surface: Anti-rust oil coated to prevent storage rust; dry surface for direct welding without degreasing
Cut-to-length cold rolled sheet: Flat rectangular plates processed from coils for direct blanking
Slitted cold rolled strip: Narrow width strips for pipe making, small stamping parts

Appearance Quality
Uniform silver-gray metallic surface, free of oxide scale, rust, pitting, scratches, indentations and roll marks. Flat coil shape without camber, wave edge or tower winding; neat trimming edges with minimal burrs. Oiled coils are evenly coated with thin anti-rust oil without oil accumulation.

Full soft annealed grades pass 180° cold bend test without cracks; full hard coils have high hardness for rigid components.
6. Full Production Process Flow
Hot rolled pickled coil incoming inspection → Uncoiling & straightening → Multi-pass room-temperature cold rolling → Continuous annealing furnace recrystallization annealing → Temper rolling to eliminate yield point elongation → Edge trimming & surface finishing → Anti-rust oil coating → Recoiling into finished cold rolled coils → Slow cooling stacking → Finishing (cut-to-length / slitting) → Full inspection of dimension, surface and mechanical properties → Laser marking grade, spec, heat & batch number → Edge protection & multi-layer bundling → Moisture-proof packaging & warehousing
Closed atmosphere annealing controls internal grain structure evenly, greatly improving stamping ductility and avoiding orange peel surface during deep drawing.

9. Processing, Storage & Operation Specifications
Soft annealed cold rolled coil is suitable for deep drawing; full hard coil must be annealed before bending or stretching to prevent cracking.
Oiled cold rolled coil needs degreasing before welding or painting to avoid paint peeling and poor welding performance.
Coils must be stored in closed dry warehouses; outdoor long-term storage is forbidden to prevent surface rust spots.
Slitting process requires precise knife clearance to reduce edge burrs, which may cause tearing during subsequent stamping.
Automotive exterior panel grade (FD surface) requires strict protection during transportation to avoid scratch and indentation defects.
Use special C-shaped lifting tongs for coil loading and unloading; avoid steel wire ropes directly rubbing coil edges to prevent deformation.
10. Export Packaging, Inspection Documents & Customization Services
10.1 Export Standard Packaging
Inner layer: moisture-proof kraft paper + plastic film waterproof layer; outer layer: galvanized steel protective sheet; coil edges equipped with plastic anti-collision guard rings. Multiple radial and circumferential steel straps fasten coils tightly to prevent loose winding during ocean transportation. Each coil is marked with steel grade, thickness, width, coil weight, executive standard, heat number and batch number for full traceability. Small coils can be packed into wooden frames as requested.
10.2 Complete Factory Delivery Certificates
Full set of original documents: chemical composition report, mechanical property test sheet, dimensional inspection record, surface quality inspection report and factory certificate. Third-party inspection by SGS, BV, TÜV is available for domestic project acceptance and overseas customs clearance.
