Steel sheet piles are section steel components equipped with interlocking locks on both sides. Multiple sheet piles are interlocked via locks to form continuous watertight and earth-retaining walls. As core supporting materials for foundation pits, cofferdams, water conservancy and port projects, they are divided into two main categories: hot-rolled sheet piles (Larssen type, the mainstream for engineering) and cold-formed sheet piles. Featuring recyclable performance, efficient construction and outstanding water stop performance, they are widely adopted in various construction works.

Hot Rolled Sheet Piles (Larssen Sheet Piles)Manufactured by integrated high-temperature rolling, they feature high-precision locks, tight interlocking, strong bending resistance and excellent driving resistance without easy tearing.Application: Deep foundation pits, wharves, cross-sea cofferdams, permanent water conservancy projects and large heavy-load constructions.Main sections: U-type, Z-type and straight web (flat) type.
Cold Formed Sheet PilesRolled and shaped from steel strips at normal temperature, they come with thin plate thickness, flexible customized lengths and lower costs.Disadvantages: Ordinary lock tightness and prone to deformation under heavy loads.Application: Small temporary foundation pits, shallow cofferdams and short-term temporary support structures.

U-type Steel Sheet Piles (Most Popular Larssen SP Series)With a grooved U-shaped cross-section, they deliver balanced lateral rigidity, low driving resistance and superior lock water tightness. Standard single widths are 400mm and 600mm, including models SP-III, SP-IV and SP-IVw, covering 80% of civil, municipal and water conservancy projects.
Z-type Steel Sheet PilesBoasting ultra-high section modulus and outstanding bending resistance, they have wide single-piece width to boost construction efficiency. Suitable for deep-water wharves, large revetments, ultra-deep foundation pits and working conditions with high lateral earth pressure.
Straight Web (Flat) Steel Sheet PilesThe flat plate structure provides prominent lock tensile resistance, ideal for circular cofferdams, island enclosures and small shallow-water support, while its lateral rigidity is relatively low.
