Commonly known as angle iron, steel angle bar is a hot-rolled long steel product with an L-shaped cross section and two legs forming a 90° vertical angle. It is divided into two main categories: equal angle steel and unequal angle steel, serving as the most fundamental and universal profile in steel structure engineering. 3. Main Materials and Mechanical Properties

3.1 Carbon Structural Steel (General Engineering Grade)

3.1.1 Q235B (A36/S235JR)

Yield strength ≥235MPa, carbon content ≤0.22%, manganese content 0.30~0.65%, sulfur and phosphorus content ≤0.045%. Featuring good toughness, high plasticity and cost performance, it is the preferred material for indoor ordinary steel structures and light-duty support structures.

3.1.2 Q355B (S355JR)

A low-alloy high-strength steel with yield strength ≥355MPa. It boasts far higher bearing capacity, compression and bending resistance than ordinary carbon steel and superior structural stability, suitable for heavy-duty factories, bridges, wind power brackets, large-scale infrastructure and other heavy-load scenarios.

3.2 Anti-Corrosion Special Material

Hot-dip galvanized angle steel: Manufactured by hot-dip galvanizing treatment on Q235B and Q355B base steel, with a zinc layer thickness of 60–120μm. It features excellent rust and corrosion resistance, adapting to outdoor, coastal, humid and corrosive chemical environments, and is widely used in municipal, electric power and outdoor engineering projects.

5.1 Hot Rolling (Mainstream Product)

Steel billet heating → high-pressure water descaling → multi-pass rough rolling and finish rolling forming → cooling on cooling bed → straightening → fixed-length cutting → inspection and packaging

Advantages: Dense internal structure, precise 90° angle (±0.5°), no distortion and stable bearing performance, specially applied for various main force-bearing structures.

5.2 Cold-Formed Angle Steel (Light-Duty Decoration)

Formed by cold bending of thin steel plates with high precision and smooth surface. It is only used for light-duty non-load-bearing frames and decorative enclosures, not recommended for load-bearing applications in large-scale infrastructure.

  • Black Hot-Rolled (Raw Angle Steel): Original factory state with slight oxide scale, lowest cost, suitable for indoor dry and non-corrosive ordinary engineering environments.

  • Hot-Dip Galvanized Angle Steel: Adopts high-temperature overall hot-dip galvanizing process with uniform zinc layer and strong adhesion. The anti-corrosion service life can reach 10–20 years, serving as the standard product for outdoor, coastal, municipal and electric power projects.

  • Painted/Rust-Proof Coating: Simple anti-corrosion treatment with moderate cost, applicable for short-term outdoor and temporary engineering protection.

  2. Surface Requirements: No cracks, delamination, scabs, deep pits, slag inclusions and other defects on the surface; slight uniform oxide scale is acceptable as normal factory delivery state.

  3. Mechanical Testing: Each batch of products passes tensile and cold bending tests with qualified mechanical properties. Original factory material test certificates (MTC) and quality inspection reports are available.

  4. Galvanized Layer Detection (Galvanized Products): Strictly test zinc layer thickness and adhesion, ensuring no missing plating, peeling, falling off, black spots and other quality defects with qualified anti-corrosion performance.
