Steel Pipe & Tube & Cast Steel Pipe,K7/K8/K9/K10/K11/K12
1. Product Overview
Cast pipes are integrated seamless tubular castings manufactured by melting pig iron, cast steel and alloy raw materials via centrifugal casting, continuous casting and sand casting processes, mainly divided into cast iron pipes, cast steel pipes and high-temperature alloy cast pipes. Benefiting from centrifugal forming, the pipe body features dense metallographic structure, uniform wall thickness and few defects such as pores and slag inclusions. It combines the wear and corrosion resistance of cast iron, high strength and pressure resistance of cast steel, as well as high temperature and corrosion resistance of alloy materials. As core pipes for municipal pipe networks, high-temperature industrial and mine wear-resistant conveying, complete sets of cast pipe fittings (elbows, tees, reducers, flanges, socket fittings) can be supplied together. Products can be mass-produced in accordance with national standards, European standards and international standards, with a delivery cycle of 5–7 days and shipment available at Tianjin Port.
2. Main Classifications & Material Grades
2.1 Classified by Materials
Grey Cast Iron Pipes (For Drainage Only)Grades: HT200, HT250; Executive Standard: GB/T12772-2016With flake graphite inside, they deliver good vibration and noise reduction performance, outstanding soil corrosion resistance and low cost. Tensile strength ≥ 150MPa, maximum working pressure ≤ 0.3MPa. Slightly brittle, only applicable to gravity sewage, building drainage and rainwater pipe networks.
Ductile Iron Cast Pipes (For Municipal Pressure Fluid Transportation)Grades: QT450-10 (National Standard), EN-GJS-450-10 (European Standard); Standards: GB/T13295-2019, ISO2531, EN545, EN598After adding magnesium/rare earth nodulizer to molten iron, graphite exists in spherical form, combining the corrosion resistance of cast iron and high toughness of steel. Tensile strength ≥ 420MPa, elongation ≥ 10%, maximum bearing pressure up to 6MPa, excellent anti-seismic and anti-settlement performance. Suitable for tap water, gas, sewage and fire-fighting pressure pipelines.
High-Chromium Wear-Resistant Cast Pipes (For Mines & Slurry Transportation)Materials: Cr15, Cr26 high-chromium cast iron, hardness ≥ 38HRC. Superior wear and erosion resistance against mine slurry, used for tailings, sand stone and fly ash conveying pipelines.
Heat-Resistant Alloy Cast Steel Pipes (For High-Temperature Industry)Cast steel grades: ZG230-450, ZG40Cr, ZG30Cr25Ni20, HK40, HP40; Standards: GB/T8492, ASTM A608Capable of long-term service at 800–1200℃, anti-creep, resistant to acid, alkali and sulfide corrosion. Applied to petrochemical cracking furnace tubes, power boiler headers, metallurgical heat treatment radiant tubes and high-temperature steam pipelines.
2.2 Classified by Casting Processes
Centrifugal Cast Pipes (Mainstream High-End Process)Molten metal is poured into high-speed rotating water-cooled metal molds. Centrifugal force separates air bubbles and molten slag, wall thickness tolerance ≤ 5%, inner surface roughness Ra3.2~6.3, free of looseness and shrinkage cavities with optimal mechanical properties. Covers all medium-high pressure, high-temperature and wear-resistant cast pipes.
Continuous Cast PipesOne-time forming of long pipes via horizontal continuous casting, high production efficiency and low unit price, mostly used for small and medium-diameter grey cast iron drain pipes.
Sand Cast Pipes (Eliminated Low-End Process)Rough surface with numerous defects, only used for low-pressure temporary drainage pipelines, rarely mass-produced.
2.3 Classified by Pressure/Wall Thickness Grades
Common wall thickness grades for ductile iron pipes: K7/K8/K9/K10/K11/K12; wall thickness of industrial cast steel pipes customized based on design pressure.
2.4 Classified by Connection Joints
Flexible Socket Joints: Type T, N1, X, sealed by rubber gaskets, allowing 3° deflection and slight foundation settlement with excellent seismic performance.
Flange Joints: For high-pressure industrial pipelines and equipment connection.
Self-Anchored Joints: For large-diameter deeply buried and river-crossing pipelines to prevent pipe separation.
Rigid Cement Joints: Used in old projects and gradually phased out.
3. Core Specification Parameters
Nominal Diameter DN: DN80~DN2600mm, non-standard large diameters customizable.
Standard Single Pipe Length: 6m / 5.7m, short lengths available upon cutting request.
Wall Thickness: 6mm~150mm, customized according to pressure, medium and working conditions.
Applicable Temperature:
Ductile/grey cast iron: -20℃~200℃
Heat-resistant alloy cast pipes: Up to 1200℃
Factory Hydrostatic Test: ≥0.3MPa for water supply and drainage pipes; industrial high-pressure cast pipes shall hold 1.5 times design pressure without leakage.
4. Optional Internal & External Anti-Corrosion Coatings
Internal Linings (Anti-Scaling & Medium Corrosion Resistance)
Ordinary cement mortar lining: For tap water and clean water transportation
High-alumina sulfate-resistant cement lining: For sewage and corrosive underground water
FBE epoxy powder lining, liquid epoxy coating: For weak acid and weak alkali chemical media
External Protective Coatings (Soil Anti-Corrosion & Rust Prevention)
Zinc spraying + bitumen topcoat (70μm zinc layer): Standard configuration for buried municipal pipelines
Epoxy coal tar pitch, FBE powder coating: For saline-alkali and corrosive soil
Zinc-aluminum alloy coating: For coastal high-salt environments
5. Core Product Advantages
Dense structure and reliable sealing: Centrifugal forming eliminates internal looseness; flexible joints adapt to foundation settlement and earthquakes (Grade 9 seismic resistance) with zero leakage during long-term operation.
Ultra-long service life: 50–100 years under normal buried working conditions; wear-resistant alloy pipes deliver 3 times longer service life than ordinary steel pipes.
Comprehensive corrosion resistance: Natural cast iron resists oxidation and soil acid-base erosion; matched coatings enable adaptation to sewage, gas, seawater and chemical media.
Convenient installation and maintenance: Flexible joints require no welding for fast construction and easy replacement during later maintenance.
Safe, eco-friendly and recyclable: No harmful substance precipitation; waste pipes can be 100% remelted for reproduction.
High temperature and impact resistance: Alloy cast pipes withstand continuous high-temperature thermal cycles; thick-walled cast pipes resist heavy rolling and ore slurry impact.
