1. Product Overview
Hot rolled steel coil (abbreviated as HRC) adopts continuous casting slab as raw material. It is continuously hot rolled above steel recrystallization temperature (1100~1250℃), cooled by laminar flow and coiled into strip steel. It is the core basic raw material for steel structures, steel pipes, mechanical processing and cold rolling substrates.
Its surface presents blue-gray iron oxide scale at room temperature. Featuring good plasticity, excellent processability and low production cost, it can be slit, cut to flat plate, stamped and welded for deep processing. Spot goods are in stock for export, with delivery port at Tianjin Port.
Main Production Process
Continuous casting slab heating → multi-pass rough rolling for thickness reduction → 7-stand finishing rolling for dimension fixing → rapid laminar cooling → coiling into finished steel coil → finishing / slitting / flattening deep processing

Thickness: 1.2mm ~ 25.4mm, mainstream spot thickness: 2.0–12mm
Width: 600mm ~ 2200mm, common widths: 940/1010/1250/1500/1800mm
Inner coil diameter: 760mm (standard size)
Single coil weight: 5–30 tons; small slit coils available at 5–10 tons
Flattened finished plate: customized fixed lengths of 6m/9m/12m
Dimensional tolerance: comply with GB/T 709-2019, precise control over thickness, width and flatness
3. Main Grades & Applicable Standards
3.1 Carbon Structural Steel (General Structure, Welded Pipe, Storage Rack)
Domestic grades: Q195, Q215B, Q235B
International equivalent: S235JR (EN10025), SS400 (JIS G3101), A36 (ASTM A36)
Application: general steel structure, guardrail, scaffold, low-pressure welded pipe, stamping substrate for hardware
3.2 High Strength Low Alloy Steel (Construction Machinery, Workshop Steel Structure)
Domestic grades: Q355B/Q355C/Q355D, Q390, Q420
International equivalent: S355JR, A572 Gr50
Advantages: high strength, good low-temperature toughness, excellent weldability; specially used for weight-saving load-bearing structures
3.3 Cold Rolling Base Material (SPHC Series for Cold Rolled & Galvanized Substrate)
SPHC, SPHD, SPHE (JIS G3131) with low carbon & silicon content, superior deep drawing ductility. Mainly supplied to cold rolling mills for cold rolled coil, hot-dip galvanized coil and prepainted coil substrate.
3.4 Special Hot Rolled Steel for Automobiles
510L, 610L, 700L, 330CL, 380CL. For truck longitudinal beams, chassis, wheel hubs with stable cold forming performance.
3.5 Pipeline / Vessel / Shipbuilding Hot Rolled Coil
Pipeline steel: X42/X52/X60/X70; ship coil: Grade A/B/AH36; gas cylinder steel: SPHT1/SPHT2/SPHT3. Raw materials for pressure vessels and oil & gas transmission pipelines.

4. Product Classification
As-rolled Mill Coil: Original factory whole coil without finishing processing. Suitable for mass flattening and slitting with cost-effective price.
Finished Recoiled Coil: Defective head & tail cut off and leveled, smooth flatness with few surface defects, ideal for precision stamping parts.
Slit Narrow Small Coil: Master coil cut into narrow small coils of 5–10 tons each, matching small processing equipment.
Hot Rolled Cut Plate: Flat steel plate cut from hot rolled coil with fixed standard lengths of 6/9/12m.
Pickled Hot Rolled Coil: Pickled to remove iron oxide scale with bright surface, for precision stamping and auto spare parts.
5. Surface Quality & Mechanical Properties
5.1 Surface Requirements
Standard delivery condition: uniformly covered with blue-gray iron oxide scale
Forbidden defects: lamination, crack, inclusion, heavy scarring, deep scratches
Slight iron oxide scale and tiny pits are acceptable if they do not affect welding and stamping forming
Pickled coil: oxide-free matte surface with anti-rust protective film
5.2 General Mechanical Properties (Reference for Q235B / S235JR)
Yield Strength: ≥235MPa
Tensile Strength: 375–500MPa
Elongation: ≥25%, no crack after 180° cold bending
Weldability: compatible with MMAW, GMAW, SAW and all common welding processes

7. Export Packing, Marking & Logistics
7.1 Packing Method
Inner layer wrapped with waterproof anti-rust kraft paper and PE film, reinforced crosswise by multiple steel straps. Bare coils loaded in container or bulk vessel. Anti-rust oil coating available upon request.
7.2 Label Marking
Metal label attached on each coil, clearly marked with grade, thickness × width, coil weight, heat number, execution standard, manufacturer and production date for full traceability.
7.3 Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)
5 tons minimum order; mixed specifications for container consolidation acceptable.
7.4 Delivery Lead Time
