1. Basic Information
GE IC693MDL645 is a 16-point 24VDC universal digital input module dedicated for GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC systems. It supports both positive and negative logic input, compatible with PNP and NPN field sensors. As a high-density signal acquisition module, it collects switch status signals from buttons, limit switches, proximity switches and other field devices, converting physical signals into standard PLC logic signals.
Featuring 1500V electrical isolation, independent channel LED indicators and 7ms fast response, the module delivers stable anti-interference performance and long-term operational reliability. 3. Working Principle
Power-on Initialization: The module obtains 5V working power from the rack backplane, completes hardware self-test and bus synchronization, initializes signal acquisition parameters and logic recognition mode, and enters standby state.
Field Signal Access: Receives 24VDC switch signals from field sensors and switches, and identifies signal level status through precise threshold judgment circuit.
Filtering & Isolation: Eliminates high-frequency jitter via hardware filter, and isolates high-voltage interference and potential difference through 1500V isolation circuit to purify logic signals.
Status Lock & Indication: Locks valid channel status, lights up corresponding LED indicators, and filters instantaneous invalid interference to avoid false triggering.
Data Synchronization Upload: Uploads 16-channel real-time status to PLC CPU, updates I/O image table, and provides accurate field basis for program logic operation and interlock judgment.
Cyclic Acquisition & Monitoring: Collects field signals cyclically, monitors channel operating status in real time, and isolates single-channel faults independently to ensure overall system stability.
