GE IC697MDL250 120VAC Discrete Logic Input Module
1. Basic Information
GE IC697MDL250 is a 32-point 120VAC discrete digital input module designed for GE Fanuc Series 90-70 PLC. It converts field AC switch signals into digital data for PLC CPU via backplane bus. 32 channels are split into 4 isolated groups of 8 points each with inter-group isolation, equipped with fixed 20ms input filter and compatible with 2/3-wire AC proximity switches. Address assignment is fully configured by programming software without jumpers or DIP switches.

3. Main Features

4. Working Principle
After rack power-up, module gets 5VDC from backplane and completes self-test. Field 120VAC signal passes filter and isolation circuit, module judges ON/OFF status then transfers digital data to backplane for CPU scan; corresponding LED lights up when channel is switched ON. Fault on single group will be isolated without affecting other input groups.
