CorrugatedFire retardant coreThe board is usually made of stainless steel strip or copper-nickel alloy material and pressed into a corrugated shape. The size of the corrugation is determined by the gas properties and the flame speed. The corrugated thin plates and flat plates are alternately wound on the central axis to form a stack of fire retardant layers with triangular pores. The thickness of the commonly used corrugated thin plates is between 0.1 - 0.3mm. The height of the corrugation is generally 0.2mm, 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm, 1.2mm, etc., which should be determined according to the flame speed.
The flame arrester with a corrugated structure has been proven to have good fire retardant performance, a wide range of applications, low manufacturing costs, and is easy to inspect and install. Therefore, this structure of the flame arrester has been widely used. The corrugated fire retardant layer can be composed of several fire retardant layers as a whole, but there should be no gaps between the layers to prevent the flame from passing through the gaps and affecting the overall fire retardant performance of the flame arrester.
