Introduction
Cerium-doped yttrium aluminate crystal, abbreviated as Ce:YAP crystal, has the chemical formula
\(\boldsymbol{Ce:YAlO_3}\). It is a high-temperature scintillation crystal with outstanding comprehensive
performance.
The crystal features high light yield, fast decay time, superior energy resolution, stable thermodynamic
and physicochemical properties, high temperature resistance, excellent radiation resistance, good machinability
and non-deliquescence. It presents broad application prospects in high-energy ray detection and nuclear medicine.
Ce:YAP crystal is insensitive to neutrons, so it can be used for ray discrimination and measurement in
neutron-mixed radiation fields. It possesses high detection efficiency for high-energy rays such as rays from \
(^{137}\text{Cs}\) and \(^{60}\text{Co}\) radioactive sources, with excellent energy resolution and time resolution.
Thanks to its excellent scintillation performance and physicochemical characteristics, Ce:YAP crystal is
widely applied in high-energy ray detection, nuclear physics, medical imaging, security inspection, industrial
detection and other fields.
