1.Device Description
According to the ANSI/ESD S20.20 standard, the grounding measures of employees must be tested daily. The 19270 can detect whether the grounding resistance values of employees' wrist straps and shoes are within the qualified range. Detailed regulations can be found in the ESD manual TR20.20.

3.Product Usage
1. Installed at the entrance of the EPA (Electrostatic Control Area) to detect whether the electricity of the human body grounded through the wrist strap and work shoes is qualified
2.Simultaneously test the grounding of the wrist strap and work shoes (independent testing for the left/right foot)
3. Can test single-line and double-line wrist straps
4.Optionally equipped with the 50755 induction handle, can be tested even when wearing gloves/finger cots
5. Three sets of LEDs respectively indicate high/qualified/low resistance values of the wrist strap, left shoe, and right shoe
6.Has normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) dry contacts, can be externally connected to access control, alarm lights, or other devices

4. Product Features
1. Simultaneously test whether the grounding of the human body through the wrist strap, left shoe, and right shoe is qualified.

※ Note: Environmental requirements for device use:
1.Ambient temperature: 5~30℃. When the upper threshold is set to 1GΩ, the temperature needs to be in the range of 21~31℃.
2.Relative humidity: 10%~65% (no water vapor condensation). When the upper threshold is set to 1GΩ, the humidity cannot exceed 50% (no water vapor condensation).
5. Testing Method
1.After the product is installed and powered on, the instrument performs a self-check first. At this time, all indicators flash 3 times and emit 3 alarm sounds.
2. In the standby state, all indicators are off. Only the blue backlight of the test button flashes cyclically.
3、Put on the wrist strap and insert the other end into the wrist strap jack (note to distinguish the jacks for single-line and double-line wrist straps)
4、Step on the left/right foot pedals with your feet respectively
5、Press the test button with your finger. When the blue light stops flashing, it indicates that the test starts. After about 1 second, the corresponding indicator light will light up to indicate the end of the test
6、If you lift your finger off the test button too quickly, all the indicator lights will flash rapidly 3 times and emit 3 alarm sounds, indicating that the test is unsuccessful
7、If the test is qualified, the corresponding green indicator light will light up. After you lift your finger off the test button, 3 alarm sounds will be emitted to indicate the end of the test
8、The alarm volume can be adjusted. Rotate clockwise to increase the volume, and rotate counterclockwise to decrease the volume
※ Indicator lights/Alarm sounds:
◎When the yellow light is on: The test is unqualified. The resistance value is greater than the upper limit threshold, and a long alarm sound will be emitted
◎When the green light is on: The test is qualified. After you lift your finger off the test button, the green light will go out and 3 alarm sounds will be emitted to indicate the end of the test
◎When the red light is on: The test is unqualified. The resistance value is lower than the lower limit threshold, and a long alarm sound will be emitted
6. Precautions
1、When the upper limit of the shoe resistance is set to 1GΩ, keep the surface of the foot pedals clean. When the relative environmental humidity exceeds 50%, the test may be inaccurate
2、Keep your test finger dry. After long-term use, oil stains may cause a short circuit between the inner and outer conductors of the test button. Clean the test button with alcohol regularly
3、The test meter must be properly grounded before connecting the power supply to work normally
4、If the test meter is not grounded, the internal chip may be damaged
5、When cleaning the floor, avoid leaving water stains on or around the surface of the foot pedals. The back of the foot pedals must be kept dry
6、Changes in air humidity due to climate or seasonal changes cause changes in the moisture absorbed by shoes made of hydrophilic materials, resulting in unstable test results. This is not a problem with the tester, but is caused by changes in the resistance value of the shoes.
7. The resistance of cheap insulating shoes on the market only reaches 108~109 ohms. Therefore, it may be within the qualified range during the test.
8. Ordinary shoes may absorb moisture, so they may be within the qualified range during the test.
7. Product maintenance, calibration, and warranty
Product maintenance and precautions:
1. Do not use the device in high-dust and high-humidity environments.
2. Regularly clean the surface of the foot pedal and check if there is water between the foot pedal and the floor. Keep it dry.
3. Regularly clean the inner/outer metal bodies of the test key and keep the space between the inner/outer metal bodies clean and dry.
4. The wrist strap jack is made of special materials and is usually not easy to damage. Do not install additional jacks and leads by yourself. You will lose the right to warranty if you modify it by yourself!
5. When connecting an external electronic door lock, the external power supply cannot exceed the rated current. Circuit burnout caused by exceeding the rated current is not covered by the warranty!
6. The test surface uses a high-speed comparison test chip. Human body static electricity can damage the chip. Therefore, reliable grounding must be tested before turning on the power. When your finger touches the test key, the instrument will first conduct the human body static electricity to the ground and then apply voltage for testing. Chip damage caused by improper grounding is not covered by the warranty.
Product calibration:
1. You can choose the 50424 calibrator to calibrate the test meter on-site. The 50424 is a resistance box, which has 14 standard resistors. Please refer to the 50424 instruction manual for the specific operation method.
2、Users can use a multimeter to verify the standard resistance of 50424, or submit it to a third-party institution for testing. Using the verified 50424 can conveniently and efficiently calibrate multiple test meters.
Product Warranty
1. The product warranty period is 1 year, excluding consumables such as connecting wires and foot pedals.
2. Do not disassemble the test meter casing. Once the casing is disassembled, the warranty right is lost.
3. Properly protect the product serial number label of the test meter. If the label is lost or the serial number is worn out and unclear, the warranty right is lost.
4. Damages caused by human misoperation are not covered by the warranty.
