WOODWARD 8440-1884M Generator set controller
This controller is designed for high levels of automation and system protection. Here are its key features:
Synchronization and Load Sharing: Supports parallel operation of up to 32 generator sets. It automatically adjusts voltage and frequency to ensure perfect synchronization when connected to the grid, and balances active and reactive power among the units according to settings.
Comprehensive Protection Mechanisms: Features electrical protection functions such as overload, undervoltage, over/underfrequency, reverse power, and phase imbalance, while simultaneously monitoring critical parameters such as engine oil pressure and coolant temperature.
Flexible Communication Capabilities: Built-in CANbus (supporting J1939 protocol), Modbus RTU, and Ethernet (Modbus TCP). This allows for easy integration with PLCs, SCADA systems, or remote monitoring equipment.
AMF (Automatic Mains Failure) Switching: Automatically detects mains power failures and starts the generator sets and switches loads within seconds, ensuring continuous power supply.
LogicsManager: Allows users to customize control flows through logic gates (AND, OR, NOT, etc.) to implement complex field logic without the need for an additional PLC.
