WOODWARD 8440-2082 Parallel controller
This device is essentially the "brain" of the generator set, integrating three major functions: control, monitoring, and protection:
Parallel Operation and Load Distribution:
Supports automatic synchronization, grid connection, and load distribution between up to 32 generator sets.
Enables seamless switching (soft loading/soft unloading), ensuring smooth power transfer between different generator sets or the power grid.
Comprehensive Protection:
Generator Protection: Includes over/under voltage, over/under frequency, overload, reverse power, and phase imbalance.
Engine Protection: Monitors key indicators such as speed, oil pressure, and water temperature.
Power Grid Protection: Features AMF (Automatic Power Failure) functionality, automatically starting a backup generator set during a power outage.
Intelligent Control (LogicsManager™):
Built-in programmable logic controller functionality, allowing users to customize operating logic according to their needs without the need for an additional PLC.
Communication Capabilities:
Equipped with multiple communication interfaces (such as CAN, Ethernet, RS-485), supporting Modbus TCP/RTU and J1939 protocols for easy integration with SCADA monitoring systems.
