Overview of Centrifugal Spray Dryer:
The centrifugal spray dryer is the core equipment in modern industry for efficiently converting liquid materials into high-quality powders. Its working principle is that through a high-speed rotating centrifugal atomizer, the liquid raw material is instantly scattered and stretched to form a fine mist net. At the same time, hot air is precisely introduced into the drying tower and comes into efficient co-current or counter-current contact with the mist droplets, causing the moisture to evaporate rapidly within a few seconds, and finally a uniform and dry powder product is obtained.
The essence of this process lies in "instantaneous drying". Application of Spray Dryer in Animal Blood Drying Process:
The spray drying of animal blood (mainly pig, cattle and chicken blood) is the core process in blood processing, aiming to convert liquid blood into blood powder that is easy to store, transport and use. The spray drying of animal blood is a mature technology for converting slaughter by-products into high-value resources. Its core lies in precisely controlling the high-temperature instantaneous drying process to kill germs while retaining the nutritional value of proteins as much as possible. Plasma protein spray drying is a technology for processing the plasma part of animal blood into powdery protein feed through the spray drying process. This process involves collecting fresh blood, separating the plasma after anticoagulant treatment, and then conducting spray drying under specific conditions to finally produce a milky white or light brown powder product.
The core principle of spray drying is to atomize the liquid plasma into tiny droplets, which are rapidly dried after coming into contact with the high-temperature airflow to form a powdery finished product. This process can maintain the water solubility, fluidity and solubility of the product, and temperature control during the drying process is crucial to avoid excessive denaturation of proteins.
In applications, blood powder produced after spray drying is commonly used in animal feed, especially for the nutritional supplementation of early-weaned piglets.
