Liquid mold silicone rubber is a commonly used material for mold products. The following is a detailed introduction to its characteristics, operation process and precautions:
Characteristics
Excellent operational performance: Liquid mold silicone rubber has a low viscosity and good fluidity, making it easy to fill or brush. It can be easily filled into complex mold cavities and is convenient for venting during operation, which can reduce bubble defects.
Low shrinkage rate: Its shrinkage rate is relatively small, generally controlled within ≤0.1%, which can ensure the dimensional accuracy of the molded products and make the replicated products highly similar to the original model.
High tear resistance: It has a high tear resistance performance, is not easily damaged during demolding, and can be reused multiple times, thus extending the service life of the mold.
The hardness is adjustable: The hardness range after curing is usually between 10 and 30A. The appropriate hardness can be selected according to different mold making requirements. For example, higher hardness silicone is suitable for making large products, while soft silicone is more appropriate for fine and small molds.
Good temperature resistance: It can maintain stable performance within a wide temperature range and is generally used in the temperature range of -60 ℃ to 300℃, featuring excellent heat aging resistance and weather resistance.
