The 59T and 66T series controls from Therm-O-Disc are designed to meet the high electrical capacity requirements of electric water heaters. Both use a temperature sensitive bimetal disc to deliver snap-action to the contacts. The speed and force of contact separation provides long-dependable control life at high electrical loads.
The 59T series of adjustable, automatic reset thermostats is designed to meet the high electrical capacity requirements of electric water heaters. It’s design uses a snap action, temperature sensitive bimetal disc to provide long dependable control life at electric loads up to 30 amps at 250VAC. The 59T can be supplied in combination with our 66T manual reset limit as an industry standard electric water heater temperature control/limit.
Features:
Single pole, single throw or single pole, double throw, open on temperature rise construction
59T mounting tabs snap into industry standard mounting brackets to mount to surface of water heater tank.
Welded construction used on all internal current carrying components for greater electrical integrity
10-32 tin plated terminal screws for electrical connections
Temperature Calibration:
The 59T is adjustable over a range of 60°F. The lowest available calibration is 90°F (32°C) and the highest is 200°F (93°C)
Standard temperature differentials available :
Single pole, single throw = 5-15°F ( 3-8°C)
Single pole, double throw = 17 - 27°F ( 9-15°C)

66T Manual Reset Bimetal Limit
The 66T manual reset temperature limit from Therm-O-Disc? offers proven reliability in a compact, versatile, cost-effective design. The snap action of the bimetal disc provides high-speed contact separation resulting in excellent life cycle characteristics at electrical loads up to 40 amps at 277 VAC. The 66T can be supplied in combination with with our 59T adjustable water heater control as an industry standard electric water heater temperature control/limit.
