German technical background VOK ®- C 8000 reactive polymer coupling agent (adhesion promoter).
Used to improve the mechanical properties of free radical curing systems. Polyester concrete and solid surface materials applied to plastics; Especially suitable for resin filled with quartz sand/granite. In solvent based and solvent-free coatings, the additive can be used as an adhesion promoter for metal and glass surfaces.

Product features and advantages
VOK®- C 8000 improves mechanical properties such as bending strength, compressive strength and elastic modulus by up to 50%. The additive is recommended for free radical curing systems such as polymer concrete and solid surface materials, especially for resins filled with quartz sand/granite.
Recommended dosage
0.1-0.3% of auxiliary dosage (purchased form) is based on filler. The above recommended dosage is for reference, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
The additive should be added to the resin shortly before curing. After addition, the resin system needs to be processed within 24 hours. The length of storage time in the system depends on the type and amount of resin added.

In solvent based and solvent-free coatings, VOK®- C 8000 can improve the adhesion to substrate, such as pretreated steel and glass. In the test formula, the additive has no adverse effect on the performance of the standard coating. Recommended for reactive acrylate systems, baking coatings (e.g. acrylic acid/melamine) and UV curing systems.
Recommended dosage
Not more than 1% of auxiliary dosage (active substance) is based on the total formula.
Under the condition of continuous stirring, the additive can be added at any stage in the coating production process.
