Product features and advantages

VOK®- AL R607 is a rheological additive used to improve the thixotropy of solid thixotropic agents, such as hydrophilic fumed silica or bentonite. The additive enhances the network formed by thixotropic agent to ensure that the network will not break as usual when amine curing agent is added. VOK®- AL R607 allows hydrophilic fumed silica or bentonite to be used solely in two-component epoxy systems. When using VOK®- For AL R607, it is unnecessary to use hydrophobic fumed silica in epoxy resin and hydrophilic fumed silica in curing agent to obtain very high coating thickness. The additive shall be added to the curing agent. Through thixotropic agent and The hydrogen bond formed between VOK®- AL R607 naturally increases the viscosity. Formula designers can now use cheap hydrophilic fumed silica or bentonite without loss of application performance. It can reduce the use cost of raw materials and improve the quality of products.

It is recommended to add VOK®- AL R607 auxiliary agent into amine curing agent. If the amine curing agent already contains hydrophilic fumed silica or bentonite, please take it into account when calculating the dosage.
