This additive is suitable for systems that do not contain organic co-solvents, where the effect of silicone surfactants is reduced in systems with a high co-solvent content, where we recommend silicone polymer surfactants such as VOK®-SL 333.

Features and benefits

This additive significantly reduces the surface tension of waterborne coatings and is particularly suitable for improving substrate wetting and leveling of systems. It may have a slight foam stabilization, does not increase surface slip, and does not affect recoating.

The additive is particularly recommended for all co-solvent-free water-based coatings, in particular styrene-acrylic, pure propylene, acrylic/polyurethane, polyurethane and baking paint systems.

Recommended dosage

0.05-0.5 % additive dosage (form of supply) is based on total formulation.

The above recommended dosage is for reference, and a good dosage needs to be determined by a series of tests.
