Features and benefits
VOK-364 P is an effective anti-crater adjunct. Reduce orange peel by optimizing the leveling properties of powder coatings. Prevents pinholes, fish eyes and other surface defects. The polar structure of the additive improves the wetting of pigments and substrates. Better DOI values (vividness) and less pinhole surfaces can be obtained, especially in powder coating systems replaced by TGIC. VOK-364 P is a hydroxyl active additive that can be incorporated into polymer compounds by reacting with a suitable resin.
Recommended Use
The additive is recommended for powder coatings based on epoxy, polyester, polyurethane, acrylate resins and polyester/epoxy hybrid resins.
Recommended dosage
0.5-2% additive dosage (purchased form) is based on total formulation.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests.
Addition method and processing guidance
The additive is mixed with resins, curing agents, pigments and other raw materials in a high-speed mixer and then extruded. The additive is well dispersed by the extruder to improve the gloss and leveling of the powder coating and to prevent cratering, fisheyes and particle formation.
