VOK-359 is a polyacrylate-based surface additive for solventborne, solvent-free and powder coatings for improved leveling and degassing. Suitable for industrial coatings and canister coatings.

Product features and benefits 

This additive is used as an anti-crater and leveling additive for a wide range of solventborne and solvent-free coatings. Adds shine and creates a long-wave effect. The additive has defoaming and defoaming effects. Only slightly reduces surface tension without affecting recoatability and interlaminar adhesion. 

Recommended dosage 

0.05-0.7% Additive dosage (purchased form) is based on total formulation. 

The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests. 

Addition method and processing guidance 

The additive can be added at any stage of the production process, including post-adding.

Powder coating 

Product features and benefits 

The additive combines excellent crater resistance, good leveling and DOI (vividness). Protects against powder-coated fisheyes and pinholes. Its low viscosity and good compatibility make it easy to add to resins in the production of masterbatches. 

Recommended Use 

The additive is recommended for the production of resin masterbatches for powder coatings, especially powder varnish coatings.
