Reactive silicone surface additive for solventborne and solvent-free systems. This additive is arranged on the surface of the paint and fixed to the coating surface by reacting the acrylate functional group with the binder. Due to its acrylate functional groups, it is suitable for all UV reaction systems (e.g. wood and furniture coatings, paper varnishes).

Compared to conventional non-reactive silicones, it offers more permanent surface properties (such as improved slip, solvent resistance, weather resistance, anti-blocking and less dust accumulation) because it is crosslinked to the coating surface by its reactive groups.

In addition, VOK-371 reduces surface tension and thus improves substrate wetting, it improves leveling, matting agent orientation and stops Benard vortexing. VOK-371 improves substrate wetting in the UV curing roller varnish and stabilizes the curtain in the UV-curing coating system.

If this additive is used in a coating system with its reactive groups crosslinked to the polymer network, please note that this surface must be carefully and evenly sanded to ensure sufficient adhesion before recoating.
