VOK®-FL 358N is a polyacrylate-based surface additive for improved leveling in solventborne coating systems and plastic systems curing at room temperature. Used in medium-polar to polar systems.

Coatings industry 

Product Features & Benefits This additive is used as an anti-crater and leveling additive for various solventborne coatings. Increases gloss and creates a long-wave effect on the coating. Slightly reduces surface tension without affecting recoating and interlayer adhesion. VOK®-FL 358N does not cause cloudiness in the varnish and does not cause fog shadows in the pigment. The additive is thermally stable. 

Recommended dosage 

0.1-1% additive dosage (purchased form) is based on total formulation.

The additive can be added at any stage of the production process, including post-adding.

This additive is used as an anti-crater and leveling additive in a variety of solvent-borne, solvent-free systems. Slightly reduces the surface tension, which is beneficial for atomization spraying or powder coating. VOK®-358 N does not cause cloudiness of the varnish or haze of the paint. 

Recommended Use 

The additive is recommended for use in a variety of room temperature curing resin systems, such as unsaturated polyester resins and epoxy resins. 

Recommended Dosage 0.1-0.5% 

The dosage of additives (form purchased) is based on the total formulation.
