Rubber cables such as SO, SO0SOW, and SOOW are specifically designed for industrial equipment, heavy-duty tools, motors, welding leads, power extensions, portable machinery, audio equipment, portable stage lights, power supply at ship docks, and mining applications. They are suitable for indoor/outdoor use. They are applicable to portable tools, equipment, small motors, and related machinery, appliances, and devices that are exposed to oil, solvents, flames, moisture, and other electrical equipment requiring flexibility and durability. They are suitable for applications up to 600V and temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C.

They have excellent resistance to oil, acids, chemicals, water, ozone, extreme temperatures, cutting, tearing, and abrasion.

S = Service line (600 volts)

= Oil-resistant outer sheath

OO = Both internal insulation and external sheath are oil-resistant

W = CSA-designated weather/water resistance
